Getting ready for fall!

Anyone else feeling like
fall is right around the corner?

This past weekend I spent a little time
in my craft area to create.

My first card was inspired by a shaker card
I saw on Pinterest and I had every
intention of creating a shaker card BUT I
forgot to adhere the clear plastic
to my top layer on my shaker!!!

DUH!  Oh well - on to plan B!

I just adhered the sequins on my
card to add a bit of fun.

Here is a side view showing you how much
dimension this card has - I love it.

I used Cardztv Spooky Sayings for my sentiment.

My next card also has a fall theme.
I've been dying to try my "new to me" Distress Oxide inks.
A stamper friend was selling a lot of her supplies
online and I was able to grab about 10 of them.
Check out my cool leaf SHAKER card!

I started by putting 3 different colors of ink on
my paper blending each color into the other one.
Then I spritzed my card with a little water
and right before my eyes, the ink CHANGED into
almost a suede look!  It was so cool.

Here's a closeup of the card.

My sentiment came from Cardztv Mini Messages!!!

I love that stamp set so much, it never gets stored away -
it just stays on my stamp desk!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Please don't think summer is over - I was
just in the mood to start thinking fall!

Get crafty!

Cardztv Mailbox Smiles Challenge

Welcome to another Cardztv
Challenge featuring the Mailbox Smiles Team.

As I look around my craft room, I can see
I have a lot of toys.  I have a Cricut, a Scan and Cut,
a Silhouette, a Big Shot, so many stamps I cannot count
them all, enough paper to change the color of my condo
at least five different times and tons of ink AND that
only scratches the surface.  I wanted to create a
card for this challenge with a minimum of products used.

I only used my paper trimmer and three dies, sequins, ribbon
and paper.  I love the simplicity of the card but
the colors are bright and shiny!  The sentiment comes from
Cardztv Potpourri set.

Don't miss out on this challenge featured on
Cardztv Blog.  Mary always has an amazing prize to
the winner.

Thank you for coming by today.

Love making 3x3 cards with Cardztv Stamps!

If you have followed my blog
you know that I have a love for
making 3x3 cards.  Mary from
Cardztv created an awesome set called
Mini Messages that contains almost any
sentiment you might need.

My BFF is having an anniversary soon
and I plan to make a treat from my kitchen to
take to her.  The 3x3 cards are a perfect compliment
to gifts like this.

I had a new diecut from My Creative Time that
I had not used yet so it was the perfect anchor
for my card.  I made my own banner and
stamped Happy Anniversary from the Mini
Messages set and added it as the final
touch.  A few sequins and a Wink of Stella
pen was all I needed to finish my project.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.
Don't forget to enter the challenge at Cardztv.
You have until July 27th to link up
your creation.

Happy Crafting!

Cardztv Mailbox Smiles Challenge #5

Who doesn't love a deal?
I don't know of anyone who doesn't want
to save some money.
Two weeks ago I shared a die that
I purchased from Amazon on my challenge card.
Today I'm showing you another one.

I've been wanting this die for a long time, but
everyone that had one, it was just more money than I wanted to spend.
In steps in Amazon and it's
amazing pricing.  I love this die and encourage
you to do some searching if you also like die to
use in your Big Shot or Cuttlebug.

It's a rainbow!!!!
Obviously I cut out 6 of these and then layers the
pieces to create my rainbow!  I just love
this die!  I finished off with a couple other dies for the
edges of my top layer and then two more dies
for the sentiment.  Pretty Pink Posh sequins
finished up my project!

I used the Cardztv This and That set for my sentiment
and I CUT IT APART!  Trust me people this
is part of the beauty of clear stamps.  Just use a good pair of shears
and cut carefully.  I can now put this phrase on the
bottom of a front panel on a card or even use it on the inside.

Thank you for stopping by!
Don't forget to head over to Mary's blog to
enter the challenge!

Cardztv Mailbox Smiles Design Team Challenge #4

Welcome to the 4th Challenge for
the Cardztv Mailbox Smiles Team!

I'm excited to bring you one of my
favorite card designs - an awesome SHAKER card!

I sort of have a thing for things that sparkle
and when shaker cards started to make an appearance
I was all over the process.
I  like to shop on Amazon and one
evening while browsing a "die" popped up as a
suggestion from something I put in my cart.  I loved
the die, but I loved the price even more!  It
was like $3.99!  That is a steal compared
to what I normally pay for dies so I was
curious and I wanted to see if the die actually
delivered a good strong cut.

Guess what???  It did!
Here's my shaker card:

I used the Cardztv Mixed Messages sentiment
which fit perfectly in the center window of the die cut.

I actually used the die 6 times and glued 5 of them
together for the depth to allow my shaker bits to move
around.  I took the top die and glued a piece of acetate
on for the window portion.  I had fun picking out some
shaker bits to match the color scheme and then I
placed the top die cut.

I love how it turned out and I'm pretty sure
whoever I decide to send to will certainly
"get their happy on"!

your creation on Cardztv blog page.

Happy crafting!

Cardztv Challenge #3 - Anything Goes

Hi crafty friends!
I hope your summer is off to a
beautiful start!  It doesn't seem possible that
we are already into June.

I plan to retire in late 2017 so I've
been trying to decide what to do when that happens
as I won't do well if I don't have SOMETHING to do.
So I've started a little side business and needed
some thank you notes to add in with
my orders as they ship.

I reached for....................
You guessed it - Mini Messages Stamp Set
from Cardztv.  I LOVE THIS SET!

The 3x3 card is the perfect size to put in
the order bag - and just the right size to
jot a quick personal thank you.
And who wouldn't like a little
chocolate?  I love to make these little notes and
now that Cardztv has this stamp set you can make
them for any occasion!

Join Mary and her team and take the challenge!
Create an Anything Goes project and post to Mary's
blog!  You could be a winner!

Cardztv Mailbox Hugs Challenge #2

I am in love with this Tiny Greetings
stamp set from Cardztv Stamps!  It is not
only beautiful but a tremendous value.  I don't
think Mary left one thing out of this set.

I've been using it on smaller projects but
look how cute it is on this A2 size card.

Look how simple, yet elegant that tiny font is for
this sympathy card!  I love using this pop of pink
(bright green would be awesome also) against that
layer of black cardstock.  I love the edge die to add
some detail, but oh my, this was an easy card!

This was also my first time at using Nuvo drops and I liked them.
I pulled out my black and grey stamp pads, and I just started building
this image with a floral stamp set.  If you have a vine set, that would be
lovely as well.

Thanks for stopping by today!  We would love to see your
creations - so join us in this challenge at Cardztv.
Who knows?  You may win the challenge and get a
free stamp set!

Have a great weekend!

Cardztv Challenge - Anything Goes!

Welcome to the first Mailbox Smiles Design
Team Challenge featuring Cardztv Stamps!

Mary introduced a new stamp set a few weeks
ago called Mini Messages.  It's an awesome
set that can be your "go to" set when you are
creating cards, mini cards, layouts, bookmarks,
or even use in your planner.  These tiny messages
cover almost any holiday or special day.

For my shaped cards, I used a jar die cut and made it
into a shaker.  I also used die cuts for the flowers and made
a bouquet out of all the flowers and adhered them on top
of each other.  I used the Cardztv Mini Messages set
to stamp a tiny banner with the message!

I love this stamp set!

Join us in the challenge and post your
creation on The Cardztv Blog.

We look forward to seeing what you create!

A Mother's Day Sketch Challenge with Cardztv!

Wow I cannot believe we are
already talking about Mother's Day!

Time is sure flying by, right?

Any who - here is my newest card
using the Cardztv Sketch #1.

I just love this sketch as it's truly one you can use over and over
again.  I used the Cardztv NEW stamp set called Mini Messages
for my sentiment.  I'm telling you - run to get this set!!!!

It's the perfect size for mini cards and those little skinny
labels on cards that are so popular right now!

I used my Cricut to print and then cut out image.
I'm not thrilled but I'm still learning.  I almost printed it
out again and used the Scan and Cut to see if there would
be any difference but I ran out of time.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Link your creation up on Cardztv for your chance
to win some free stamps from Mary!

Happy Spring!

How about an Easter Sketch Challenge!

Welcome to my blog!
Today I'm excited to share with you another
sketch challenge with the Cardztv Design Team!

Mary asked her designers to create an Easter card using
any sketch we wanted.  I chose sketch 3 - it's one of my favs!

SKETCH THREE

I love this sweet Easter card!  I used Lawn Fawn's perfectly plaid
6x6 paper pad for my paper.

I chose the Cardztv Set called Easter Punnies
for the Hippity Hoppity sentiment.

"EASTER PUNNIES"

This card will be sent to my grandchildren in
California to wish them a Happy Easter!

You have until April 6th, 2017 to add your
creation to the Cardztv challenge!

Cardztv Sketch Challenge #4

Mary has a new sketch and
I love it so much, this is the 2nd
time I've used it!

I love pink, black and lime green together!
Those colors just make me HAPPY, so I thought it was
fitting to use the sentiment "Get your happy on" from
the Cardztv Stamp Set Mixed Messages.

As you can see I used a scallop circle and die cut
for the bottom image.  I had just gotten in my
monthly ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon so
I used that beautiful green.

I love this 8x8 paper pad from the Paper Studio
with it's all white/black pages.

Mary had an instructional video on her site last week
that showed you how to use your Cricut Design Space
to "flatten" images and print them out on a circle
or a rectangle or really any shape you want.
This was my first attempt and I can assure you
it won't be my last.  If you go back to the Cardztv Blog,
you can see the video where she creates this lovely
card with different papers but uses the same
Circuit cartridge.

Okay now it's time to get your
crafty side on!  Link up on Mary's
site for a chance to win a set of
Cardztv stamps.

You have until March 23, 2017
to add your creation!

Thanks A Latte!

It's time for another challenge
with the Sketch Team from Cardztv Stamps.

Mary has introduced a couple of new sketches
and if you haven't viewed her videos on how to
use them, make sure and take a look.

I couldn't wait to use her new one.

I am a coffee lover so it was fun
to break out the Brew Ha Ha Stamp
set for this fun little card.

This card would be the perfect one
to use when you are giving a Starbucks or
Panera Gift card!

Make sure and go to Mary's blog to
gather more inspiration and then link
up your card.  You could be the winner

I freakin' love sketches!!!

I know I get a little carried away

I used two hearts cut out with my
My Creative Time's dies.

I love how it turned out!

Join us for this challenge.  Beginning on
February 10, link up your Valentine Card using
any of Cardztv sketches.  You have until

Happy New Year!

The Cardztv Design Teams have been
on vaca but we are back and ready to
get your crafty mojo kicking into high gear!

Today I get to share with you another Sketch Challenge
using Cardztv Kit and Caboodle Sketch # 17!  I love this
sketch!  I always do a little extra matting on mine, but you
don't have to - just follow Mary's measurements to make
a great card.  This challenge is to use ANY sketch (I just
picked her newest one) and make a birthday card.

I love yellow and black, don't you???

I used Cardztv Stamp Set Sugar Rush
for my sentiment.

Here's the side view which shows a little more
of the black extra layer which really sets these colors
off.  Hum - I'm ready for cupcakes!

I was in the mood to color, so I used
a die cut for my little cupcakes and even die cut
the 1 inch squares because I like the stitched edges.
Easy peasy and oh so cute!

Okay now it's your turn!
Join us by posting your creation to
Cardztv.  You have until February 9th, 2017.

Thanks for stopping by!

I love sketches!!!

I realized tonight that I have
not posted and shared my recent
project of making cards.  I saw a video on
Youtube that showed you how to use sketches and
a single 6x6 paper pad and some colored card stock
to create cards.  This person uses up the entire pad
making cards and ends up with hardly nothing.

I WAS INTRIGUED!!!
So I got to work.  Here are just a couple
of the cards I made.

So far I have 26 cards made from this paper pad
and I still have 3 full size 6x6 sheets and my
scrapes.  Here is a picture of the sketches that used.

I will share more when I finish, but I challenge you to take
the plunge!

Happy Crafting!
