It's a Fun Friday at Timeless Twine and Bella Creationz~

While I love making Mini Albums and
other time consuming things, what I think is
the MOST fun is making a simple card!

Hi! This is Cathy from the Creative Crew

Simple card making is something that is
more than fun to me, it's relaxing.  I don't
have to think too hard and it seems that everyone
loves the thoughtfulness that goes into a
handmade card.  I also want to share
my love of simple card making with everyone
and I think if my projects are too challenging,
people may give up before they start AND they
think "this is too expensive, I'll just go buy a card"
Whoa! Where is the fun in that?

My card only has two layers on top of the card base.
I did add a layer of foam to pop up the tulips, but other
than that, it's a pretty simple card.  My tulips
are embossed with my Cuttlebug and then I chalked them
for a soft look.  I used a sentiment from the
OH SNAP set from BellaCreationz.
are almost always a given!

I tried to show you the glitz on the tulips!  I used
my Wink of Stella brush to add a little zip!

When you look at this stamp set you probably
think photo albums, mini albums, project life
but I saw OH SNAP and knew it needed
to be on a card.  I hope you
like my FUN card on this FUN FRIDAY!

Thanks for stopping!

THROWBACK THURSDAY with Timeless Twine & Bella Creationz

Hello!  This is Cathy from Mimis Craft Corner and
I am very excited to share with
you today a card I created using

For Throwback Thursday, we ask that
you go back to your PAST craft projects and
remake them today with a few twists and turns.

Here is my Throwback from 2012

I LOVE black and white cards, but I also love this
layout.  It's a combination of patterned paper and
an insert at the bottom that I ran through
the Cuttlebug.  The two papers are separated
by a piece of ribbon.  I love this format and could
make this card over and over and it will never be the
same.  Here's my updated card for today:

I added paper from the First Edition Spring Drop paper pad.
I also used my all time fav punch of Martha Stewart to
separate the two layers.

I added some sequins and

The sequins are coming soon to

Keep in mind the Sorbet Collection is
on SALE all month!

Have a wonderful Spring day!

Butterfly card for Cardztv Challenge!

I love butterflies and use
them frequently on summer cards.
How fun when I realized that Cardztv had a
Designer Challenge just for that!

In looking through my card stash, I didn't
have any sympathy cards and really
needed one to send this week.

I used an embossing folder and
chalked the images with a finger dauber and
a Q tip.  I added three butterflies using
a Stampin Up little embossing folder.

My sentiment comes from HEARTFELT WISHES
a stamp set from Cardztv.  I reach for this stamp set
over and over to send encouraging cards!
It's really a must have for all card makers!

Thanks for stopping by and why not get
creative today and make your own butterfly card!

To Die for Wednesday!

Hello!  This is Cathy from
Mimi's Craft Corner and today
is To Die for Wednesday!

For anyone who truly wants to be creative and NOT
depend on a Cricut or Silhouette, die cutting
is for you!  I use a Cuttlebug but the
Big Shot is on my Wish List.  I reach
for my dies over and over again.  LOVE THEM!

It was treat day at my office
and I put these together for my docs!
I made the tags using my Silhouette.
I printed my sentiment first and then
cut them out with the software.

The little "box" the candy sets in
is a die that I use over and over!  It comes
from My Creative Time and it's called
the treat slider.

Here is another variation using the same
box but the tags are cut using metal dies that
I ran through my Cuttlebug.

The Hershey Nuggets are covered
with 1x3 inch patterned paper strips.

I added a plastic bag with the final
 to tie the tag on.

This is such a fun project and is always
appreciated at my office.  With 12 providers
I need to be creative when I want to give them
something.  It always amazes me how
a little paper, stamps, Timeless Twine and
CHOCOLATE make such an
awesome gift.

Have a great day!

I used some flower dies from my stash and cut
out this fun flower for my tag.

FUN!  I added some beautiful
Gosh aren't those sequins to die for????

I added another pocket (die) on the
back side for a gift card!
You know Car Wash tickets would work too!

What a fun project!!!  I challenge you to
create a tag this week and share with
a friend.  It's a quick project and you
can totally make someone's day with this
little beauty!

I love techniques and while
using watercolors is not a new one,
it's new to me!

Kristina Werner has awesome videos and is
a master of water coloring.  This is my
first attempt.

a die on the outside.

Happy Monochromatic Monday!

March!  Yippee -- in Indiana we can
start thinking GREEN!
Hello, today I'm designing for

St. Patty's Day is just around
the corner, so in it's honor
I made a set of my favorite 3x3 cards.

Keeping with the Monochromatic Challenge, my
white card base is 6x3 along with another
layer of white cut at 2 7/8 x 2 7/8.
I ran that layer through my Cuttlebug for
some dimension.

I added a shamrock die cut and sentiment
The sentiment
is stamped on a small label that I
cut with my Silhouette.

Just a hint, I cut
out an entire 12x12 sheet of 4 different
sizes of labels in white.  I have them in a
little photo box and can reach for them anytime
I need something special.

I did ink around very lightly with Tim Holtz
Distress ink on the label to make it stand out.

To finish off my card, I added

I can't get enough of these
You cannot believe how many projects you
will get out of your packet!

The Olive Green Twine is on SALE!
Don't wait on this one.  This is a staple
color you will use time and time again!

Thank you for stopping by!
I will be back shortly with another fun
post for Planner Sunday!  Don't miss it!

I'm loving my planners - yes I have more than one!

Shaker cards & Sequins!
Really, how much more fun
can I take?  Today I'm creating for
and I'm so excited to share two of my favorite
things.  I love to make shaker cards and
I truly love sequins.

It's a bit gloomy in Indiana as we are facing
another cold and snowy weekend, so I
decided to create some sunshine on my own.

The sun is from the Silhouette store and seriously
using a cut from there is the EASIEST way to
create this fun card.  All you do is choose
what paper you want the sun cut from and load
white paper in for the rest.  The Silhouette cuts out
all the layers, you glue them together and add
in your fun sequins!  How fun and
beautiful!

I used the following products by
Timeless Twine & BellaCreationz

Clearly Beloved Sequins

Lemonade Yellow Twine

Solid Black Twine

I added a little sprinkle of
Martha Stewart chunky glitter
in my shaker and a sentiment
at the bottom.

What a fun card!

Thank you for stopping in to see me today.

Make sure and visit
&

Now - let's get shakin'!!!

It's a FUN FRIDAY at Timeless Twine/Bella Creationz

I have the MOST fun when
I'm making treat bags!
Today I'm sharing with you a
simple yet fun idea for making
Valentine treats for the office,
school, neighbors, or just anyone
you want to give a SWEET little gift.

Who doesn't love OREO cookies???
I found these cute little treat bags
in the dollar bin at Target last year.
I had to buy them hoping I would find something
cute to add in them.  That OREO cookie
commercial got me and even though
I couldn't find the Red Velvet Oreos,
these looked pretty good!

Five cookies fit nicely in the
bag and I made a bag topper out
of two 4x4 sheets of designer paper.

My sentiment comes from the
HAPPY DAYS stamp set
from Bella Creationz.  This set
covers ALL your needs with
every sentiment you could
possibly need.

I added a die cut heart and stamped a
Peachy Keen Face stamp to add a
little personality.  I topped it off with
Strawberry Cupcake Timeless Twine and Clear
sequins from Bella Creationz.

It's time for your FUN FRIDAY project!

Don't forget your stamp set!

What will you make?

It's all about the presentation!

How many times have we
heard that it's all about the
presentation?  Or "you never have a
2nd chance to make a 1st impression.

Giving a handmade gift is no
exception.  Presentation is EVERYTHING!

I love making small 3x3 notecards.  While tidying
up my work space after Christmas, I ran across
tons of snowflake die cuts and I wanted to
use them up.  They were the perfect addition
to this small notecard set.

I made up two sets of cards and secured them
with ribbon from my stash and Timeless
Twine.  Check out the video and
tell me what you think!

Thanks for stopping by!

Making multiples with Timeless Twine!

One of things I love to do is
make multiples of cards.  Some
might call it the assembly line - LOL
but I think it just makes sense when
you already have the idea, the inks are out,
you gone through the stamps & twine.

I'm excited to share with you
a birthday card I've created that
was inspired by Jennifer McGuire.
I used my Cameo to cut the
balloons.  I put three 4x12 strips on my
mat and cut the balloon that I
trimmed in Designer Studio.

This is what it looked like when it was cut.

I've got my Timeless Twine all ready to go!

Here's the video to show you how
I added the Timeless Twine and Sequins.

Check out this great stamp set
by BellaCreationz!

Here's a couple of views of my finished project.

Okay - it's your turn to make some
"multiples".  Get your favorite stamp
set and make up a bunch of cards.

It's so nice to NEED a card, go to your stash and
there it is!

Thanks for stopping by.

It's a planner day!!!

Hello!  It's Cathy again from
Mimi's Craft Corner but today I'm showing
you my new It's all About Me planner for 2015.
I decided to create this planner after seeing a new
stamp set from Bella Creationz called Plan to be Fit.

As soon as I saw it, I knew it was time to start
logging my progress and keeping track of my
goals and being accountable.

Here is my planner in it's black mesh bag that
I bought from Barnes and Noble.  I have a thing
for these bags!!!  LOVE them!

I made a video for you showing you the
inside of my planner and all the goodies used
from Bella Creationz/Timeless Twine.

My first post for Bella Creationz/Timeless Twine!

I am very excited to be a new
Creative Crew member for Timeless Twine/
Bella Creationz!  I have used many of their products
this past year and have fallen in love with so
many things!  If you are a frequent visitor to my
blog, you know I like to make 3D items and gifts.
Stacy has the cutest little packages to help me
create the perfect gift.

To start off, I created 2015 calendar
gift for my BFF.  I found the calendar as a
free printable from Pinterest.  I printed
it out and trimmed it to the size I wanted.
Then I created a little booklet to hold
all the months.

The cover features a doily, sequins and twine from
Bella Creationz/Timeless Twine.

Six months will store on either side of the booklet.

You can use a small picture holder if you want to
display on your desk or even pin it on your
bulletin board.

My BFF is not as "blingy" as me :), so I didn't add
more sequins to the individual months!

Here is a quick video showing you
how I put this together.
If you like this video, give it a
"thumbs up" on YouTube.
