It's just like Santa's Workshop!

Have your ever heard the words,
"it's all in the presentation'?

Well I have and the words used
to come from my mother.  In honor
of her, I try and make sure when I give
little gifts, I make sure the packaging
is awesome.  If you have some
crafting supplies, you can make it happen.

Here are three cute things I've created.
The first is a Rudolph card with an
EOS lip balm for a nose.
It's what you call an easel card as
it sits up on a desk.
How cute is this?

This next one is a gift card holder.  When
you pull up the hat on Santa, it reveals
a gift card.  Isn't this a cute gift card holder?

My last one for tonight is a holder for
a single piece of Ghirardelli chocolate.
I love that for they holidays they make
the little mint chocolate and it is
perfect in this file, however, if
you can't find it, I'm sure ANY
piece of Ghirardelli will do!  :)

I used a Cardztv stamp set called
Tiny Greetings to stamp two sentiments
with Whisper White Ink from Stampin
Up.  This and the gift card holder
were both cut with my Silhouette.

I hope you love my post tonight!

Just think - Christmas is only 5 days away!

    Cardztv 3D Challenge - Giftbox/bag

    Welcome to my blog today!

I am very excited to share with you
my version of the Cardztv 3D Challenge.

I made a bag "topper" to slide over the
two handles on a remade bag!
    Here is a closeup view.

The Print and Cut Image you see of the
two reindeer is from my Silhouette.

It is on an action wobble and looks so cute
in person!  I used the Cardztv Big Holiday Wishes for
the Merry Christmas.  I just love these large sentiments.

This view shows you the premade bag that I picked
up in a set of two for $1!  I spent just a little
time to create the topper and BAM - my gift
    came together!

Look at the other sentiments on this stamp set!

    What a fun, fun project!
Here is a video I put together to share how
    this is made.

    Thanks for stopping today!

Don't forget to join our 3D team and create your
own entry.  Go to Cardztv to enter your project by
    December 24, 2015.

Merry Christmas everyone!  The 3D team is taking a break for
the holiday season.  Enjoy time with family and friends.

    Tags, Tags and more tags!

I hope you all had a wonderful
Thanksgiving!  Our home was filled with
family, fun and plenty of food!

After everyone left, I had a chance to make one
of my all time favorite things - TAGS!

Both are Christmas inspired, but you know, that
special holiday is right around the corner.

Here are two 3 D Tags I made for
the Cardztv 3D Challenge starting on
November 27.  Don't forget to link
    up your entry at Cardstv.

My first tag used three white trees glued
together and sprinkled with some red sequins.
My tag is cut from kraft colored cardstock and
then I used Tim Holtz distress inks to
    deepen the color.

I used the Naughty or Nice set for the snowflakes
stamped in white ink on the tag.  Then I used the
postmark from the Snail Mail set and stamped
that in black ink.  I cut a second piece
of white and tore it to look like snow
and added some Dazzling Diamond glitter
    from Stampin Up.

For my 2nd tag, I used my die twice.  The first
one is cut from the green shimmer paper.
Then I cut it again and added the tree die.

Does that tree look familiar???  Yep it's
the same die from Tag 1.
One of my all time favorite stamps sets from
and this sentiment speaks loudly to me
at Christmas.  After all, all hearts
do come home for Christmas, right???

I hope you enjoyed both of my tags!

Tags are a great way to give a gift card
and they are so unique and different, it's just
a nice twist from a card.

I can't wait to see your creations!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

It's hard to believe that in two
short weeks we will celebrate Thanksgiving!

Mary has challenged her 3D Cardztv Design Team
to create a 3D Thanksgiving card.

Even though I have a Silhouette and a Cricut Air
I enjoy using my thin wafer dies to create a quick
project on the go.  Today my Thanksgiving
card was created by using an easter egg die, cutting
three pieces and put them together to create
    a pumpkin.  Isn't it cute????

Ready for the best part???  The pumpkin is
on an action Wobble!  LOVE IT!

The sentiment comes from one of
my all time favorite sets from
    Cardztv Stamps!

THANKFUL FOR YOU is the name
of the set and while I chose Happy Thanksgiving,
look at all the other options!

Mary's stamp sets are an excellent
    value for all crafters.

Okay, now it's your time to create!
Join the rest of my DT sisters
    from November 13, 2015 - November 26, 2015
    with your own creation.

Post on the Cardztv blog and YOU could
    win a set of stamps!

Thank you for stopping by and have
    fun creating your own Thanksgiving
    3D card!

    Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins!

Everywhere I look I see PUMPKINS!
Pumpkin this, pumpkin that - I LOVE IT!

Just last week I had some pumpkin ice cream!
I even bought a pumpkin pie at Sam's club and
it was fabulous!  So it only makes sense that
today is the 3D challenge at Cardztv and we
    are using pumpkins!

I found this little box on someone's Stampin Up
page and I knew I had to try and recreate it.

Even though you see my Cricut in the background,
I only used dies to create this pumpkin box.
After making a box out of yardstick
to hold the candy, I cut out two scalloped
circles and put them on the front
of my box after running them
through a cuttle bug folder and inking over
the raised edges for some depth.
I added various leaves cut from dies, some twine
and a button.  The "stem" of the pumpkin is
    a scrap of sheer ribbon.

My sentiment comes from Cardztv Fall Fun!

our fun challenge and post your
    entry on Cardztv!

    Cardztv 3D Candy Challenge

I can't believe but in just
a couple of weeks it will be

    Mary from Cardztv Stamps challenge
her team to come up with a candy
    wrapper or holder for Halloween!

This is my most favorite treat holder from
the Silhouette shop.  Search for "3D Candy bar holder"
and several will pop up!  It cuts the tray and the
wrap around part and even the extra piece that
layers over the holder.  You can use this for ANY occasion
by just changing your paper and decorations.

I wrapped little chocolate nuggets with a 1x3 inch
piece of decorator paper.  This box will also
hold a full size Snickers or any candy bar
    in that shape.
The picture below shows you the 5 nuggets all tucked
in ready for a great gift.

On this treat box I started with a spooky fence
punch from Martha Stewart.  I love this punch!

Then I used my oval die set and cut out three ovals,
sponged the edges and layered them together
to form a pumpkin.  I HAD to use
Cardztv new set "LET'S FACE IT"
for the fun face on the pumpkin.  I added glossy
accents to his glasses, eyes and nose.  They totally
    look like they are 3D.
The sentiment HEY PUMPKIN comes from

The next box uses the same background but
I added a couple of witch's legs left over
    from last year's Halloween!
    The sentiment is from

This was a fun, fun challenge.  I can't
wait to see what you whip up!
This challenge runs from October 16-29th.

Make sure you link up your project
on Cardztv page for a chance to win
    a set of Cardztv stamps!

    Happy Haunting!

    A Cardztv Home Decor Challenge!

Hi, it's Cathy here with another
fun challenge from Mary at Cardztvstamps!

As a Designer for the 3D team I was
really excited for this challenge.  I love to use
my crafts and think outside the box and
this challenge was to create a fall home decor
    project. is what I created.

This is my centerpiece that I made in early summer.
I used a tray from Target and added in a couple
of succulents, some battery operated "jar"
candles and a couple of tapers.  I loved this
    all summer long.

    Here's another close up!

I loved the purple ribbons on the tops of my jars!

Now here is my centerpiece for Halloween!

I lost internet service when I was creating this project
so I went back to my little metal dies and cut out
    various shapes for Halloween.

Some cut outs were left over from last Halloween.

I love cutting out "extras" because I can always use
    them for a quick project.

I have a box of various sized tags I cut with my Cricut
about 6 months ago.  I love having little tags I can
grab and add to a project.

All the sentiments are from Cardztv stamp sets

After Halloween I can remove all these
tags and put them on a card and BAM -
my Halloween cards are ready to send!

Okay, now it's your turn to create!
You have from October 2-15 to add
your project to the Cardztv site.

I can't wait to see what you create!
If you haven't seen the rest of my Design
Team Sisters projects - head over to

Have a great fun fall day!

    Cardztv 3D Design Team post

I am very excited to be back with
    the Cardztv Design Team!
I will serving this term on the 3D team
and I LOVE making 3D items.

I do want to share that I've know Mary Grubbs
before there were stamps!  I used to watch her
Youtube videos for inspiration ALL THE TIME!
No one then or now knows a Cricut cartridge like Mary
or can get as much mileage out of one.  I have
teased her in the past that she must have
taken the booklets to bed with her and
fell asleep dreaming about what she would create.

When Mary share on her YouTube channel that she was going to
be creating stamps, I was ecstatic!  I was proud then
to be on her first DT and I'm just as proud now.

Mary's stamp sets are so versatile
that you never have to look far for the
perfect sentiment.  Even while I was on VACA from
the team, so many of my projects featured Cardztv Stamps!

Well enough about me!  It's all about
Cardztv Stamps and today it's a 3D item.

    Hey Pumpkin!

Check out my video below to see
how I created this cute little 3D card!

Here are the two sets used for this card:

Another Field Note Midori Set up!

For anyone who knows me, they
know when I love something, I am
    totally IN LOVE WITH IT!
    1. I love bags/purses, etc!
    2. I love jewelry, tons of expensive and cheap jewels
    3. I love to craft - hence the entire lower level
of my condo devoted to that
    4. I am a gadget girl!  Love my MacBook Air, 2 iPads
my iPhone and now my Apple watch
    5. I love to plan which brings me to this
    post and video

For years I tried to be digital when all the gadgets
started to make their appearance.  I packed
away my Franklin Covey binder and began using
technology.  I love it!  It seemed the more techie things
got, the better I liked them.  One thing was wrong.
I was out of control and had no idea what
needed to be done, if it was done or even
    WHAT had to be done.

Therefore, I returned to a paper planner.
I started with an Erin Condren Life Planner.
It's gorgeous so it seemed to fit my style, however,
it started becoming a pain to take back and forth to
work along with my heavy laptop.

Then I found the Midori lovers on Facebook and
I began my search for the perfect planner FOR ME!

You see that is the key.  Just because something works
for you doesn't mean it's going to work for you.
I've been on a search for several months trying to find
my niche in the planner world and today I think
I'm pretty satisfied.  I like the:
    1. Format
    2. Size
    3. Flexibility
    4. Changeability

Here is the most recent video of my
    current set up.

It's been a journey and it' been fun!
Let me know if you have any questions!

I'd be happy to help you.

    Chocolate Treats for visiting family!

I have a real quick post
because I'm on my way to the store.
We got a call last night from our Florida
relatives saying they were stopping for
a quick visit tomorrow around noon.

I just had to pop in my craft room and whip up
a little something for the car ride home.

I did a quick tour for the Good Ole Summertime Blog Hop
     blog hop first thing today,
and my craft mojo just sort of popped out!
Make sure and head over for some fun
    and inspirational crafting.

Okay, here's my little chocolate treats.

If you follow me, you know I love to make
    treats with the Hershey Nuggets.
This little box will hold either a full size
chocolate bar (I used those last year for Halloween)
    or 5 Hershey Nuggets.

Of course, us crafty folks can't just put
in five pieces of candy, we need to make them
    totally adorbs!

The little circles come from Jaded Blossom.
They have an entire line of these little circles that
are perfect on cards, layouts and well - candy!

The little girl images also are print and cut dies from
the Silhouette Store.  Remember I needed these to be fast.

What is faster than print and cut?  NOTHING!

    Now for my sentiments!

    They come from Cardztv Stamps.

The set is called Mixed Messages and I
    love it!  Thank you Mary!

Here is a view to the inside of the
    treat slider.

    Well, off to the store!

    Have a great weekend!

    Treats, treats and more treats!

    Hi!  This is Cathy from

Today I'm sharing a project for

This month we are showing the Firecracker Twine
on our projects.  It's so fun to have the
perfect touch of twine for any project
    I make.

I made some cute little wrapped
    Hershey Hugs using the traditional
    red, white and blue theme.

    Didn't this turn out cute?

It always amazes me how using colored ink
and teaming it up with coordinating
paper colors and twine finishes off a project.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to visit
for all of your twine needs!

    Home of the Brave!

Hello!  This is Cathy and today
it's my turn to design for Timeless Twine

I had two brother who served in the military a long
time ago and I got to thinking, I'm not sure I ever
    "thanked" them for their service.

My brother Bob who served in Viet Nam died
two years ago so I hope he reads my post, however
Dave will be receiving this card in honor
of his service.  Dave was in Germany.

I had hoped for some sun, but it has been rainy
and overcast all day, so pardon pictures!

The chevron die is from My Creative Time and
it's the first time I've used it!  I love the
    military look of this card!

The Firecracker Twine is a nice touch above
the sentiment also from MCT product line.

I plan to write a personal note to my brother
and thank him for his dedication to our nation.

I hope my post today spurs you on to thank
a vet for their service.  I don't want to take
for granted what so many do for us so we can
    live our lives in freedom.

    It's Sequin/Shaker Saturday!

    Hello!  This is Cathy from
I'm part of the Creative Crew for

I almost get giddy when I
    see I am scheduled for
    Sequin Shaker  Saturday

I love making shaker cards!  I made
this one use a die with my Cuttlebug
machine, but if you have a Silhouette
or Cricut, you can do the same thing.

I used the Sparkly Clear Sequins and
mixed in a few Martha Stewart little stars.

The background is my second attempt at
water coloring.  I still have more work to do
    but it's fun trying!

I hope you try your hand
at making a shaker card soon!

    They are so much fun!
