Birthday Card for my son!

How did I get so old to have a 34 year old son?  Not sure, but my youngest son will celebrate
his birthday on April 1.  He loves golf and I made a similar card for  my husband last year for Father's Day so I had to try and recreate it for my son.  I love how it turned out.

The original idea came from Robin at Robin's Creative Cottage.
Here's the link to her post:  http://robinscreativecottage.blogspot.com/2012/06/for-dad-golf-cart-fantabulous-cricut.html

I used my Gypsy to lay out the design and my Imagine to cut.
The image comes from Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge.
I used my A2 size template on my Gypsy to size the image and make sure I was placing
it where I wanted.  If you haven't used the template feature yet, you really need to try.

I used My Creative Time's dies to cut the clouds and mini tag on the front of the card.
I also used Emma's sentiments for this card.

I hope he likes it!

BUNNY TREATS!

I love Pinterest and when I feel like I need some inspiration OR if I have nothing to do, I start to lurk.  One day I found similar bottles used to make bunny treats!  I instantly "pinned" them on one of my boards so I could find them later.  I'm so glad I remember they were there.  This is my version....

Now before I go into how I made them, I must share that I needed to drink two of these today so I'd have the bottles!  Needless to say I will probably still be awake at 3AM!  After drinking these, I washed out the bottles real good and peeled off the labels.  The little residue that was left came off easily with a kitchen scratcher.  I also need to clean the underside of the lid really good with the same scratcher.  After letting them dry for a few hours, I filled with candy.  I used "sticky strip tape" around the bottle cap.  I taped the "ears" to the lid and added a little more sticky strip over the ears and then wrapped a piece of ribbon around.  I added a bow to the front with a glue dot.  You can see the tag I have on one of the bottles and this is attached with glue dots too.

The ears came from the Silhouette store from another cut.  You could also make your own.  I think the ones from Pinterest were all white.

I think my little guys will like their treats, don't you?

Welcome to the Good Times Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Good Times Blog Hop

Featuring the Cardztv Design Team and the newest stamp set

GOOD TIMES!

You have arrived here from

Pinklady Crafter http://www.pinkldycrafter.blogspot.com/

so by now you have seen some great projects!
Here's my entry:

My card is an A2 size card.  I used Kraft colored card stock for the base
and added two layers.  One black and blue textured cardstock layer on top.
The cow and fence images were purchased from the Silhouette Store.
I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the fence to make it look more rustic.
I inked all layers on the cow with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress ink.
If you look closely, hopefully you can see Glossy Accents
on the cow's hoofs.  The cloud dies are from My Creative Time.
The Silhouette store also has some great patches of grass!
Of course the sentiment is from the Good Times Stamp Set.

I added two more mats on the inside for the finishing touches
and added more grass and another sentiment from Good Times.
It's the perfect addition when you need a small sentiment!  I just
love it!

I hope you've enjoyed my card!  I had a MOO velous time making it!

It's SO You - Cardztv Challenge!

Hello you crafty friends!  Are you ready for a fun, fun challenge?
Mary at Cardztv Stamps has challenged us to use our favorite colors
to create a card, layout or craft project using YOUR favorite
colors.  It was fun, but not an easy challenge for me because
I LOVE so many color combinations.
However, I'm feeling springy these days.
We have about 8 inches of snow on the ground and I yearn
for spring flowers and some sun, so my card was born out
of that yearning.  So that being said, here's the official information:

Cardz TV Ch# 26 "It's SO You!"
Make a card, layout or craft project using YOUR favorite colors.
Starts: Fri, Mar 8
Ends: Thurs, Mar 21 @ Noon EST
Prize: 1 set of Cardz TV Stamps

Here is my project for this challenge:

My flower cut is from the Silhouette Store.  I used DWWV Spring Fling
Matstacks from last year.  I bought the patterned pack and the plain paper which
has a slight texture.  Both cut beautifully and really pull my project together.
The edges have all been inked with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink.
I used a die cut for the circle behind the flower.  It seems to add a pop to the flower.
This die comes from My Creative Time line of products.

The sentiment is from Cardztv Stamp line GOOD FRIENDS!
The sentiment stamped beautifully on the textured paper.
The inside of the card looks like this:

I added two more mats to the inside and another sentiment from
GOOD FRIENDS.  I used a Martha Stewart punch for the bottom
border.  Check out the other GREAT projects made by the Design
Team for Cardztv at www.cardztv.blogspot.com
