CardzTV Color Challenge!

Cardz TV Ch# 23 "Color Challenge"
Make a card, layout, or craft project using RED, BLACK, and WHITE ONLY!
Starts: Fri, Jan 25
Ends: Thurs, Feb 7 @ Noon EST
Prize: 1 set of Cardz TV Stamps

Here is my project for this challenge:

I love this card!  First of all, I love the combination of black & red!
The card is a 3x3 card, the white layer started out as a 3.25 inch card stock
then I used my FAVORITE Martha Stewart corner punch and straight punch.
It makes a beautiful background, don't you think?
The heart was cut with my Cricut at 1.5 inches.  There are tons of cartridges
that have hearts.  You can also use a punch.  Cut out 5 hearts and fold them in the center.
I ran them through the Cuttlebug to give them some dimension, but you don't have
to do that.  I then glued them together to create the fan affect.

The inside is finished off with another layer cut at 3.35 and some
tiny hearts from another Martha Stewart punch.  I added 4 pearls on the front
in the corners and Cardztv stamps - HAPPY DAYS!

Now it's your turn!

Come play with us!

I love 3 Birds on Parade!

We all have our favorite Cricut cartridges, but I keep coming
back to 3 Birds on Parade!  This image is one of my "extra".  If you follow
my blog you know I like to cut out extra images instead of only one
or two.  My philosophy is if I'm going to take the time to layout the image
(normally on my Gypsy), pick out my paper and put it together, I'd rather
do more than one image.  The other thing is that I have less scraps
of paper by doing this.  Anyhow, I wanted to make this tissue holder.

Nicole from had the directions
on how to create this little box.  Thanks Nicole!

The sentiment is from Cardztv Stamps
For the Birds!

This little box went together in minutes and was fun to make!

I only had some red snowflake tissues, but it would look better with white.

Check out Nicole's blog!  She has wonderful ideas!

New Year - New Baby!

It seems like only yesterday my friends and myself
were having babies and celebrating little one's birthday
parties.  Well those days are gone.  Now my children are
grown and raising their own families and I get the honor
to attend parties for my grandchildren.  While my youngest son
is now married, he doesn't have any children yet, but one of
his best friends just had their first baby.

Cardz TV Ch# 22 "Baby New Year"
Make a card, layout, or craft project for a new baby.
Starts: Fri, Jan 11
Ends: Thurs, Jan 24 @ Noon EST
Prize: 1 set of Cardz TV Stamps

When Mary came up with this challenge, I was
thrilled!  Welcome to Cardztv Baby New Year challenge.
This challenge is for you to create a card, layout or craft
project for a new baby.

I used my Imagine on this card and Teresa Collins
Baby Boutique cartridge.
I used the print and cut feature and separated
the layers.  I love how this turned out!

Of course I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder
for the 2nd layer.  The A2 size card is a soft baby blue shade
with a black mat behind the white.  That little bit
of black really makes your cards pop.

I used Cardztv stamp set Happy Days!

Here is my project for this challenge:

The inside features a white mat and a sentiment
from My Pink Stamper.  The little onezie is from the
Silhouette library.  I did a little bit of stitching and popped
it up for some dimension.

The flourish stamp is one that I bought on the internet.
I have used this set over and over again when I need
a little pop of color.

It's your turn to create your own project!  Link it up here
and give yourself a chance to win a beautiful stamp set
by Mary @ Cardztv!

Come play with us!

Thanks for stopping by!

Jaded Blossom Anything Goes Challenge

I wanted to make a quick project today
for Jaded Blossom's Anything Goes Challenge.
If you have been on my blog before, you know I LOVE their kiss/candy
line of stamps.  They are circle stamps that you stamp and cut out
with a 3/4  inch punch.  They fit perfectly on the bottom of a candy
kiss, rollo candy, even life savers!  If you add a scalloped circle
behind them you can use them on your scrapbook pages and cards
too!  I love this line so I just had to use up some leftover
candy from Christmas.

Here is my treat package all ready for Winter giving!
I used the gusset bag from Jaded Blossom.  I made a bottom for the
bag in the same color that I used on the Fancy Topper Die.  The Fancy Topper
die is the perfect addition for "treat makers".   I had
some white shreds that I put in first and then added some candy
with the Winter Wishes set.  The snowman is a
SVG file I cut well over a year ago and I had as an extra.
Stampin Up is the maker of the Happy Winter sentiment and I'm
sure it is retired by now.

I'm working on a video - LOL!  It's only taken me all afternoon.
I'm not real good at it yet!  Ya think????

Check back again to see if I add it so you can see some tips
that I've added.
Thanks for coming by my blog today!

Happy crafting!

Here is the link to the video!  I so need practice on making videos.
Thanks for watching.

Crafting is sharing!

Some people are just a little more crafty than others
and one of those people is Ruthie Nixon.  Ruthie's blog is

Ruthie is talented and shares files and ideas freely.
Today on her blog she has a tutorial
on making these cute covers for 3x3 Post it notes.

I know Christmas is gone, but I had this one Santa hat
laying on my desk so I had to use it!!!  The Santa hat came
from the Silhouette store.  The Classy lady is from My Creative Time's
line called Keeping it Classy.  I stamped the image and then scanned
into my Silhouette and cut it out!  I love this feature!

The other pad is just a couple of layers with a sentiment
from My Creative Time.

These were a quick, fun project!

Go to Ruthie's blog to get all the sizes.

Have a great day!
