My last crafting projects in 2012!

I took some time this afternoon to make a couple of
cards I need.  I hope you like them!

I have a friend who is retiring from nursing.
This is a Scrapping Bug Designs cut from my
Cameo.  Look how THIN those little antennas are!
Amazing how the Cameo cuts.

My next project was a masculine card - probably
the hardest card for me to create.
My BFF hubby has a birthday this week and I
wanted to get this card made for him.

My next project - CLEAN THE CRAFT ROOM!

I have tons of paper to put away and just general cleaning.
I have a hard time creating when it gets too messy, so
New Year's day will be spent cleaning.

Have a safe and happy new year!
2013 is just around the corner.

I'm a top PEACH!

What's more exciting than eating a fresh peach?

It's being a TOP PEACH!
At the last minute I submitted a photo
of my office Christmas gift I made for
40 staff members.  I was surprised beyond
belief to find out I won the TOP PEACH award from
Peachy Keen Stamps!

 Here's the project:
I stocked up on gloves last year after Christmas and everything
else (except the popcorn) I had in my stash.
I used the Winter Faces Assortment from Peachy Keen
 which gives me ALL
the sizes.  Normally I buy the assortment as I never know
what size I'm going to need!  I used the largest stamp
and it was the perfect size for this project.
Check out other PK stamps at
You will fall in love with their products!

Christmas CHEER!

I've been making little gifts off
and on for over a week but have not had time
to post.  So you will see a little taste of what
Mimi has been up to lately.
First of all, a bottle of champagne for
Christmas Mimosas!
I manage a medical practice with 10 providers
I gave them each a little miser for their Christmas
drink.  I created the printed tag on my computer using Word.
I cut the sentiment out using My Creative Time's Vintage
Label Die.  The tag itself is another one of My Creative Time
products and then I just cut out a circle with her circle
die to slip over the neck
of the bottle.  They looked great!
Next is a little gift for my office.
Recently I purchased a Silhouette Cameo
and this was a free project from the Silhouette store.
I made this for my desk!

I needed a gift card holder for my son.
The card was cut with my Imagine & my Gypsy
using the Tags, Boxes and More cartridge.
Now that I've created it once, it is saved
and I can decorate it for any occasion.
The reindeer is an Image from the Silhouette
Store and it cut BEAUTIFULLY.

If you've ever read my blog, you know I have a "thing"
for the hug candy.  Well here is another project
I made today.  I wrapped the card with slips
of patterned paper cut at 1x3 inches.
Then I made a base out of paper to lay
the candy in and give it a more finished look.
I used the Wilton Pretzel bags to slide
in the candy and finished it off with some
twine and a Teeny Tiny Tag die from My Creative
Time and I stamped it with a sentiment from
Cardztv Stamps!  I love this tiny set of words.
Check out Mary's products at

My last project was something I made for my co-workers
at the clinic.  I made 40, but they were so much fun!
I got the idea last year from Pinterest so after
Christmas I stocked up on the gloves.  In case you can't
see, the wrapper goes around a bag of microwave
popcorn.  I used a Peachy Keen Stamp on the wrapper
and chalked on some color.  Stretch one of the gloves
around the popcorn and tie a ribbon at the top
make the "hat".  I slid the extra glove behind the band
on the back side.  I stamped "To" and "From" on the
back so I could keep track of who I gave
them to.

Well that's all the crafting for me today.  Tomorrow
I will get my wrapping done and I should be good to go.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.  Thank
you for stopping by my blog for some Christmas Cheer!

(shop Cardz TV Stamps... HERE)
Winner (chosen by Announced: Friday, Dec 21st @ Cardz TV

Here's my "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" project:
Who doesn't love the Santa Baby song?
I have a friend who uses it as ring tone for
the holidays!  Makes me smile everytime I hear it.
The Santa Hat is a Silhouette image cut at 3 inches.
I ran the white pieces through my little Zyron and then
used Dazzling Diamond glitter.  They look awesome!
The twine is from the Twinery and it is a deep cranberry
red.  I love it!  I've been using it on all of projects lately.
The embossing folder is a new one and I'm sorry
I didn't write down the name, but I just had
to have it because of the snowflake.  Do you see it?
I perched the Santa Hat on the edge.
I used my 2 way glue on the snowflake and
again used Dazzling Diamond Glitter from
Stampin Up!
The Santa Baby words come from Cardztv Stamps
Tiny Tidings..........................well I'm in love!
Love the tiny sentiments (used another one on the inside).
So often I finish up a card and need the words to smaller
so this will be a new favorite winter/holiday set for me.
If you follow my blog, you've also seen the French Fry
box that I filled with Hershey Nuggets and I used
ALL the stamps from this set!

Here is the inside of the card.  The snowflake flourish
is also from the Silhouette store.

Here's a picture of Tiny Tidings!

I'm telling you - you will use this set
over and over!

Jaded Blossom Guest Designer!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
I am excited to be
Guest Designing for Jaded Blossom.
I know we have all begun to feel the "crunch time"
of the holiday season, but take some time, grab your coffee,
tea or hot cocoa and prepare to have a little fun.
One of things I LOVE about Jaded Blossom
stamps is the "kiss" line. You see I'm a big
treat maker. I have a staff of almost 40 people
and I love making treats. When I saw their "kiss" stamps
I knew the order would be soon be going in
for them all!
Here's my project!
(click on the picture to make larger)
How about a giant kiss package for a
packet of Hershey Kisses?

I designed this on my Gypsy but you don't have to
have a Gypsy to make this work.
With your cutter, select your favorite heart and if you
don't own a Gyspy, cut out two. Score the bottom
(or actually the top) of your heart about 1/2 inch from
the edge where the bumps start. Fold them and glue
then together. As you bend them up, you have just made
your Hershey looking holder. If you own a Gyspy, place
two hearts on your mat, flip one, line them up and weld.

I cut my heart at 4.5, but you can cut any size.
The bigger the cut, the more candy!

I used the Jaded Blossom gusset bags to
hold my kisses that were stamped
with Winter Candies and Christmas Candies.
The sentiments were cut out with a 3/4 inch

I used a deep burgundy ink so it stood
out on the silver foil. I adhered the sentiment
with glue dots. I added one more on the front of
my package. I added a burgundy 1 inch circle behind
the sentiment to make it stand out
even more. The label on the front of my package is
the Curly Label Die from Jaded Blossom.
The Curly Everyday Border was
also stamped with the burgundy ink.

To finish off my package I used some
jute from my stash along with some holiday
ribbon and some greenery punched out
of green paper.

I love how these turned out!
I'm honored to be a Guest Designer today
and I hope you've gotten some inspiration
to take some time out of your hectic life and
craft. There's something
about paper, scissors, adhesive and CHOCOLATE
to get my motor running!

Have a blessed holiday season and thanks
again for stopping by.

Cutting file winner!

The winner of my cut file
from last Sunday is:
love the peeking so adorable
Send me your mailing address so
I can get this out to you soon!

Hostess Gift for the Holidays!

My mother has been gone for well
over 30 years, yet I remember so MANY lessons
she taught.  One is that when you go to carry-in
you take the amount of food you would need if you
eat at home.  Ha ha!  We never went to a church
carry-in with one dish - no, not us!  We would
have several.
Another lesson is if you go to someone's home
for the holidays or another time, you should take
the hostess a gift.  I spent some time yesterday
making one of those gifts I will use.
I love these tins, although I can't remember where I got
them but I did order them online.  I'm sure you could
Google them!  I used one of my favorite chocolates
the Hershey Nugget.  I stamped a page of printer
address labels and used several stamp sets
for Christmas and picked out words that would
fit on the Nugget.
If you would like, you can also use printed patterned paper, but
using labels lends itself to easily covering the Nugget.  If you
do want to wrap the printed paper, you will need strips of paper
cut at 1 x 3 inch and tape well.

In the above picture you see I used patterned paper
as a belly band and taped it on the bottom.  I then used a
new die from My Creative Time called Vintage Stiched Label Dies.
Vintage Stitched Label Dies
I then glitzed it up a little to finish off the presentation.

Well, what do you think?  Would you like to be
a hostess and invite me to your house?
Thanks for visiting my blog!
Happy crafting!

Pause, Dream and Enjoy White and Blue challenge!

I love using blue and white for Christmas
cards!  When I saw the challenge at Pause,
Dream & Enjoy, I just knew Janis had me in mind!
Anyway, I love this color combo and it was a great
excuse for me to use two of my favorite products:
1. My Silhouette Cameo
2. Cardztv Stamps
The Hershey Nuggest are stamped with a
blue snowflake and I stamped printer labels and
wrapped them around the hug.  If you have an
Imagine, you can also flood your page of labels
from your favorite Imagine cartridge.
The sentiments are ALL from a new
set of Cardztv Stamps called Tiny Tidings.
As you can see, they are the perfect compliment
to your projects.
The French Fry box is an SVG cut and I used my Cameo
to cut out this image.  I used glossy accents on the black
band to make it look like a shiny belt.
Thanks Janis for a great challenge!

Check out my first cuts from my Cameo!

I gave myself a birthday gift of a Silhouette Cameo.
Today, I got to make my first cuts
and I wanted to share them with you.
The sleigh comes from My Scrap Chick and it's a
SVG file.  I have the designer issue of the Silhouette so
I can cut SVG files.  Jaded Blossom makes the little
stamps that are on the bottom of the kisses.

This Peppermint Swirl image is from the Silhouette
store and this card is a total scraplift!  My Design Team sister, Jennifer
from Cardztv made this card and I totally stole it!
The sentiment on the inside is from
Cardztv stamp line, called Tiny Tidings!

This SVG file is from Scrapping Bug Designs.  It's
called Peeking!  The problem is I make cards
and with the excitement of making my first cuts, this
one is way to big for a card.  It is 6.5 inches tall!  It would
be perfect for a scrapbook page so I have decided
to give it away.  Leave a comment below and a way
for me to contact you and next Sunday (December 9, 2012) I will
have select a winner at 6pm EST.
BTW, the Cameo is awesome!  I'm still
learning the software so I'm not quick, but I
can tell I'm going to love it.  I'm not giving up
my Cricut Expression or the Imagine OR my
Gypsy, I just wanted to have a way to make
sharp cuts and use SVG files.
I'm entering the Sleigh in the Jaded Blossom
Crafter's Choice Challenge.
Thanks for stopping by!

Cardztv To Die For challenge!

Happy Friday! Today starts a brand new

CTVS Ch#20 "To Die For!"

Ends: Thursday, Dec 6th @ NOON EST
Details: Create a card, layout or craft project using
Prize: 1 set of Cardz TV Stamps of the winner's choice
(shop Cardz TV Stamps... HERE)
Winner (chosen by Announced: Friday, Dec 7th @ Cardz TV

Here's my "To Die For" project:
All cuts are made using my Cuttlebug and die cuts.
The dies are from Creative Time for Me.  The petals are
actually ornament dies and as soon as I heard what
the challenge was I knew I wanted to use these to make a
poinsettia.  The leaves are also a Creative Time for Me die
coming from Piles of Smiles set.
I used Stickles on the leaves and petals to
add some depth.  I LOVE the way it turned
out, don't you?
The sentiment is from Cardztv new stamp set
call Christmas Joy.  Isn't it beautiful?

I used another sentiment from Christmas Joy
for the inside of the card.

I put together the poinsettia by using a brad
and then I just fanned out the petals.
I can't wait to try a white one!  Won't that
be gorgeous?
I hope you are having fun hopping through my
Design Team Sisters blogs.  They have
fabulous ideas.

Busy Thanksgiving Weekend!

As many of you, I had a busy holiday
weekend.  My daughter in law had her first Thanksgiving
dinner and it was incredible!  She is the perfect hostess!
The food was awesome and it was the perfect blend of
turkey and trimmings!  Her youngest son, Drew came to Mimi's
house on Wednesday to help me bake pies.  I ask him
to pose with the pies and here's what I got......
Ha ha ha!  I love it!  I did get him to pose without
the tongue, but this truly shows his personality!
I also needed some sympathy cards as my sister in law
passed away the day before Thanksgiving.  This
is the card I sent to my niece who was the caretaker of her
mother before she passed away.

I then made another sympathy card for my brother.
We live about 3.5 hours away from each other and do
not get a chance to visit execpt by phone.  I wanted to
let him know I am thinking and praying for him and his
children.  The sentiment on this card is from Cardztv Stamps
called Heartfelt Wishes.  I do serve on Cardztv Design Team,
but I must say that I love these stamps!  Look how awesome
they stamped on this textured cardstock.  The sentiments are
perfect and I find myself reaching for them time and time again.

The sentiment on the above card was a set I bought
at Hobby Lobby.  I don't know the maker of them but I
do use them frequently for sympathy notes.
As life goes on, I also needed a wedding card.
The card below was made with hearts that I cut on
my Cricut.  Normally I put pearls on the bride's heart
but since I was mailing, I needed to keep the embelishments
to a minimum.  This is a fun card to make and I encourage
you to take your turn to make it.
I used My Creative Time's Tiny Tag sentiments
for the Mr. & Mrs.

I hope you had a good holiday weekend.  It was back to
work for me and you know, sometimes work is just what
the doctor orders!
Thanks for stopping by!

First Snow w/Scrapping Bug Designs

I didn't do any crafting this weekend, but last week I did
get a couple things finished.  I like cutting
SVG files with my Sure Cuts A Lot software
on my original Cricut Expression.  I have
fallen in love with files from
Scrapping Bug Designs.
This file is called First Snow!
Isn't he cute?

I'm entering this in the Paper Playtime Challenge ANYTHING GOES!
I made a second card using different colors
of brown and different ribbon.

I finished the inside with a sentiment & a punched snowflake.

Both sentiments come from Cardztv Stamps
called Snow Day.  Look at all the great sentiments!
They are perfect for your winter craft projects.
Thanks for checking out my blog today.

Here's my "Scene It" project:
The SCENE is printed and cut using my
Cricut Imagine.  Normally you could print this for
an entire 12x12 page, but I resized it for 5x5.  I love it!
I added stickles to the snow and used a gel glitter
pen for the trees.  I cut the little snow man out
and popped him up for dimension.
The sentiment Winter Wonderland comes
from Cardztv Stamps - Snow Day.

The inside sentiment comes from Cardztv stamps
Christmas Joy!
Mary's stamps go together perfectly!  You will
find yourself mixing and matching all the time!

My Creative Time's Designer challenge

Well it's that time of the year to switch from
making Halloween treats and cards and move to
Thanksgiving.  Last Sunday we were invited to my
BFF's home for dinner.  It was delish!  Her hubby has
officially retired from teaching
(although he still works and coaches)
and he loves to cook.  One of his new things is
homemade pasta that he creates with his Kitchen Aid
mixer.  Can I just say OMG?  This fresh pasta is the
best ever!  Well, anyway we had an incredible lasagna that
he made and I wanted to send a note of thanks to both
of them for sharing with us.
I love to make S-Shaped cards and this one was made
with My Creative Time dies.  The Designer Challenge
was to use fabric or stitching on your project.
Emma's dies have a signature stitch that I just love.
The pumpkin is made from Easter egg dies and if you
look closely you will see the stitching.  I also used her
leafs from Piles of Smiles set.
My sentiments are from Cardztv new stamp set called
Heartfelt Wishes.

I LOVE how this card turned out and I hope
you will try your hand at a S Shaped card!
They are so fun!
Oh, and I must say I am very thankful for you!
Thanks for stopping by to say hello and check out
my blog.  Happy Crafting!

My hubby is TOAD ally Awesome!

We've had a little stress lately in my family.
I don't handle it the best and I'm afraid my
sweet hubby takes the brunt of my long days
and frustration for not being able to change things.
This weekend, I spent a good deal of time in my craft loft,
burning off a little stress.  I thought
it was only fitting for me to make a card
just for him.
Here's the outside of my S-fold card.  Gosh I love these colors!
The frog is a SVG cut.  I used some Peachy Keen eyes
and did a bit of stitching with my white gel pen.

The inside of the card is stamped with a
Cardztv Stamp Set called TOAD ally Awesome!
What a cute set!  Check out all of Mary's stamps
I hope you have a great week!  I'm going
to have a great one - I can feel it!

It's all about the treats!

I've been working on Halloween treats this
weekend.  I love making goodie bags, treats,
little gifts -- I'm not sure why but I love to
make them.
Here's my first one -
Halloween pencils!  Aren't these cute?
I used My Creative Time dies and stamp sets to create
these.  You could also use Pixie Sticks but I couldn't
find any so I used pencils.
Next -

This little bat wrap is from the CTMH Artiste
cartridge.  It is cut out of black with the edges
inked with white.  I adhered a piece of candy
on the inside, glued a couple of googly eyes,
wrapped twine around the wrapper and tied in a
bow.  I used a die from My Creative Time and stamped
it with a couple of sayings I got from stamps
in the Dollar Bin at Michaels.
And my last treat.....
I found these plastic bags on Ebay.  I filled
them with M&M's but you could also dip chocolate
pretzel rods in them too.
Again, I used My Creative Time's dies
and stamp sets to finish this project.
Well now it's your turn!
Make some treats for Halloween!
