My Creative Time 125th Release Day and Blog Hop

 

It was a great week and certainly put me in the mood for some holiday crafting!

For our blog hop, I created a card using our new Gingerbread Kisses paper pad and 

You Warm My Heart stamp & die set.

After creating the card base, I cut out a piece about 1 1/4 inches on the top and then used the cut out cup to attach it back on the card.  I'm sure there is a name for this card but I don't know it.

I just know when I saw these beautiful cups of cocoa, they were the perfect image to use.

The sentiment shows with the card closed and open!

Once you open the card, you see the sentiment on a panel of it's own and a place to write.

Such a fun card to make and even better to receive.

My Creative Time Sneak Peek - Day 4

 It's been so fun to work with these new products!

I know you are anxious to get them into your hands and your wait is just about over.

Today we feature the FREEBIE die (HO HO HO!) given to the first 40 shoppers!

I loved creating this LARGE shaker card with the new Ho Ho Ho die.

This is the perfect addition to a tree as an ornament, but also on a gift package for someone special!

We also have a new set of Rectangle Scallop dies and I just had to use the small one for a goodie topper!

So easy.  Just fold in the middle, staple it over the bag or in this case the candy bar.  Decorate, cover the bar or anything you want and presto - you have a cute little gift.

HINT - I used the red sticky tape to keep the paper on the candy bar!  ATG & glue did not work for me.

I used our new paper pad and cut out from Day one to finish the project!

My Creative Time Day 3 Sneaky Peeks!

This week is so much fun and I know you are going to love

the die we are introducing today.  A Gingerbread House just screams holidays, warm cookies and hot cocoa with tons of family around for the fun.

Imagine decorating this Gingerbread House to send to your favorite family & friends.  Emma designed this as a gift card holder but I chose to make it into an A2 size card and I love how it turned out.

I used a wood grain embossing folder from my stash to emboss the ginger house.

I love the texture that it gives.  Of course I had to add some cute little "peppermints" from this release to jazz it up some and let's face it, it wouldn't holiday card making without the glitter!!!

I used a sentiment from Day one to stamp on the inside of the card.  It's unique and whimsical design is perfect for that special family you may be missing this holiday!

I've always said you could tell who a crafter is when you go out shopping and see glitter on them!  Today, everyone will see glitter on me!

My Creative Time 125th Release Day 2 Sneaks~

 Today is a great day!

We are sneaking a new die called Peppermint Candy Die!

I love it so much and thought I'd make a banner but when I starting cutting them out, I kept glancing at the fireplace mantel, which stays decorated for Christmas all year round.  Since the fireplace is in the lower level of our condo, I just keep the decor out.  As I looked at the fireplace I started to play with the Peppermint Candy dies!  I loved the whimsical look it gave my glittery garland.

I love the look so much, I plan to use these on my tree in my bedroom since it has an all red theme!

I will be sure and post a picture this Christmas!

Of course, I had to make a card also.

The card is mounted on an A2 size panel.

This card will still fit in a standard envelop!

 I admit, I screamed when I opened my Design Team Packet from Emma!

Literally - SCREAMED!

The colors in this paper pad are breathtakingly soft and subtle and lets talk about those little cups that cut out perfectly with the die!  And for the times you need to really relax and color, there is a stamp set so you can color to your heart's content.

Once again we see a die for EACH phrase!  This is a game changer!

My Creative Time Just Cards In Memory of Ginger Ropp

 I am shamelessly into fall everything!  I just cannot help myself.  I love the cooler temps, the mild sunny days and of course, everything pumpkin.

Today I made a fall Thank you card and I cannot get over how adorable it is!

I mean, seriously!  Isn't this adorable!

I channeled my inner Ginger Ropp who was a past designer for MCT.

Ginger loved to INK around everything and as I inked up my papers, my thoughts went to

Ginger.  I was so honored to know her and learn from her.  She was an amazing artist.

 I made this card for the anniversary of her passing and I miss her so much!

To create this card I used:

I did fussy cut the pumpkins from the paper pad, inked around them (Ginger would be so proud) and mounted them on the circle die.

I love the way they turned out.  The leaves were all cut out of white card stock and I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks to create the colors.

My Creative Time Gift Card Giving!

 As I've shared before, I give Gift Cards for most any occasion!

Local grands would rather get "what they want" and the younger ones live too far away.

But if I'm honest, I like to have some gift cards on hand for those spur of the moment gifts when you just want to thank someone or wish them a happy birthday.

Today I am featuring one of my all time favorite dies from MCT.

I just love the Latte Cover Card Die.  I had to make two I love it so much.

Then I flipped it over and added a gift card holder from the Gift Card Tag Die.

I love this set on it's own, but I can always add a pocket for a gift card to anything I create.

MCT Make it Manly!

 I hope you all had a chance to get in some crafting time over the holiday!

I always feel that Labor Day is a "reset" for many of us as we begin to head into fall.

I live in Indiana so our temps have not started to cool off yet, but there are signs of fall coming.

We recently had overnight guests for several days which meant I NEEDED to clean my 

craft space so it wasn't so much a disaster.  Oh wow, does it look good but I knew when I started a new project I would make a mess again, so I challenged myself to use nothing but scraps to make my manly card.  The only full piece of cardstock used was the card base, everything else came from my scrap bin.  How fun!  I would love it if you would join me in this challenge!

The twine came from my stash as well as the black sequins.

I love the gray tones and the pop of blue!  What a great way to use up those never ending strips of paper!
