Where has the time gone???

I cannot believe that today is
Christmas Eve!
We have church choir practice
at 6pm so I didn't have a lot on
the schedule for today.

I did need a few boxes
that I will use to give the gift of CASH
to my grands!  LOL!  Unfortunately
as they have become older, it has become harder
and harder to buy for them.  One of them wants
to buy tractor parts - I mean seriously - here's the money!!!

I used a cut file from Lori Whitlock to create these cute
little gems and cut them with my Air 2.  I inked the edges of
my SU Designer papers, used various ribbons and a die cut
to finish off my project.

Totally cute and reusable!
I will be using this cut file again and again!

I could not believe that I have not posted
since September!  I promise I've been busy in craft room
but just haven't posted.  At the risk of boring you, I will post
a few pics below of some recent projects!

Well it's time for me to jump in the shower
so I will leave you for now!

I do want to give you a challenge before I go.
After Christmas my craft room is FILLED with partial
pieces of paper, multiple stamp sets and dies just lying
around.  I take time and create at least 10 more Christmas
items before I put them away.  This will give me a head
start on next year and I will use some of the items that
now look like trash!  In 2019, I'm taking it one step
farther in that I will be creating 6 Christmas cards a
month so I will also be ready for Christmas 2019.

Hopefully this will allow me to enjoy the holidays with
a little less stress!  Since I used a lot of my Copic colored images
I will also be stamping many and taking time in January
to color!  I LOVE to color!  Maybe the snow gods will
even bless us with a little snow so I can watch the snow
fall while I color!

If you chose to join me on my Clean up Challenge, let
me know in the comments!  It will be fun to see what you create!
Also, if any of you want to post your Christmas cards
each month on FB, please tag me!
I'd love to see your creations !

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Rae Dunn like pottery project!

Happy holiday weekend. I hope your weekend is off to a great relaxing start.
I’m in Notre Dame fan so I’m watching the game.
But to kill some time this afternoon,  I decided to use a video from Lorrie Nunamaker
and create some Ray done like pottery.  Lorrie created
a great video on her YouTube channel showing
how to create these pieces.  She shared
the font name and where she got the pottery
pieces.  Lorrie has excellent videos
on how to use your Cricut and other Provocraft items.
I highly recommend following her channel.

Well here are two pictures of what I created.
I went to JoAnn's this morning and found some
Rose Gold Cricut Vinyl.  I think they turned out swell!

My BFF and I are going to a crafting retreat in North Carolina in late
September.  I created the bowl that says "It's all about the bling" for
both of us to use at our work stations to hold sequins.

The square bowl is for me to put at my bedside with the
oils I use at night.

I was on a roll so I decided to do a couple more.
My grandkids call me Mimi, so of course I needed a bowl with that name!
Ha Ha!  Then I also picked up the sugar bowl and creamer so
I added some words on these as well.

It's important to know that these containers cannot be washed in
a sink or the dishwasher.  They will need to be wiped out otherwise the
printing will come off.

I hope you give these awesome projects a try!  It was fun.

Now back to Notre Dame!

Addicted to Paper is born!

I’ve been searching for a way to offer my cards
To the many people who have asked and I
Finally have it put together.

I’m going to offer a monthly subscription for
$25 that will include 5 multi layered

A premium card would be one similar to those in this post as they contain
Hand colored images or shaker cards.

If you would like more information, drop me a note and I will contact to share more.
My new business is called Addicted to Paper.
I offer standard size cards and small 3x3 size as well.

Now, take a look at these adorable cards!

I am so pumped looking at these creations!
Drop me a message here and I will get back with you as

What a productive day in my craft room!

I just had to share a couple of
cards for my stash today.

In total I actually made 12 cards, six of
each design but it always amazes
me that even though I'm using a sketch, the
cards all look different due to the
patterned paper.

I have had on my TO DO list for two weeks
to clean my craft room.  Everytime I go into
my space, I get side tracked and end up
creating instead of cleaning!  Oh well,
maybe tomorrow I will clean.

I felt this paper pack would lend
itself to be used if I needed a more
masculine look.  All of the cards
turned out awesome!

Thanks for stopping by!

I’m thinking Fall!

Yes, I know it’s still July but
Crafters always need to be ahead of
The calendar.

Here is a quick look at a card I made today.

Love Gina K Designs wreath
Builder for fall!

These images can easily be used without
the wreath template - but I love
the look of it like this!

Waterfall Portfolio

It's been extremely warm here
in Indiana and while we often have hot
summers, the heat coupled with the humidity does
not normally come until August.  We really
didn't have a spring - we just jumped into August weather
in June!!!  Well I'm finishing up my
summer projects and am ready to move on to
fall cards and winter projects.

I've been wanting to create a waterfall portfolio
for my next workshop, and I'm really thrilled
how it came out.  I am already envisioning winter
themed books!  They would make the perfect
gifts!  Check out my YouTube
video on this project.  If you like it,
I'd appreciate a thumbs up and if you'd like
to follow me on YouTube hit the subscribe button.

Thank you for stopping by!

Have a great crafty day!

Love Jar Card Kit

This week my project was
to follow along with Kristie Marcotte's
6x6 paper pad tutorial.

Here's the link to her blog:

Kristie got 40 cards out of this kit, I only got 27
but she's a lot better at this than I am - however,
I'm still happy.

I created a quick video to show you the cards.

This sentiment comes from Cardztv Stamp Set called
Love in a Jar.  I LOVE this kit and it's on
sale right now!

Shaker cards!

Love working on shaker cards! Had to share this one.
I will admit that this one took me about three hours.
But I think it’s worth it!

I saw something similar on Pinterest and I just had to create for my
granddaughter in CA.  She loves mermaids!

Here's another one:

This one uses a shaker pouch from
My Favorite Things so it was very easy
to complete.  I maybe had an hour in this one.

While shaker cards take me longer to create they
are normally a real stress reliever for me since I love them
so much!

Thanks for stopping in to see my creations!

Shaped cards!

EARLY IN my card making career
I would love to view blogs that featured
shaped cards.  This card is a Lori Whitlock file
and it was so easy to put together.

Since retiring on December 1 of last year,
I think I've started to feel more domestic!  LOL.
My mixer has been getting use and
when I saw this file I just couldn't resist.
Of course when you purchase the file it's yours
so you can make this over and over again.

Of course I had to use my favorite Cardztv Stamp sets,
Sugar Rush & Foodie Punnies to finish
off the card on the outside and inside.

Have a terrific Memorial Day weekend
and remember those who have honored
our country by giving the ultimate sacrifice.

God Bless the USA!

My newest 3x3 cards!

I cannot get enough of making
little 3x3 note cards.
I use them at my church to give out
for birthdays, notes of encouragement, thank you
notes and get well.

Here are a few new ones I've recently completed.

I am now offering card classes to local
peeps who either want to learn how to make
cards or just want to get together with
other crafters.

I hope you enjoyed my cards!

Thank you for stopping by!

Loving these large cover plate dies!

I got a goodie box from
My Favorite Things with two new dies.
I couldn't wait to try them out!

First I used the larger base die for the A2 size
card and used some paper scraps for the small
pieces needed to fill the die.  I thought the black
frame set off the hot pink/green/black color combo.

I took a photo of both cards up close so you
can see the detail.

The second die used was the Stitched Blooms DieNamics.
OMG!  This die is a must for all crafters!

I cut out two different flowers and don't they look
awesome on these cards!  The flower centers are
a couple of embellishments from Hobby Lobby.

I just love these cards - I hope they spur
on your creative juices!

Thank you for stopping by!

Cathy (Mimi)

So sorry!  I know this is picture full, but I just had
to share a few more.  Sentiment is from My Creative Time
"You Matter" stamp set.  This is an awesome set!

PS - I love having these kinds of cards in my stash!
Sometimes you just need more than birthday and celebration
type cards!

More Fun!

Another awesome afternoon of card making!

I have a fun shaped card to share with you today.
I have a new Die-Namics die
and I just had to try and create
a cute shaped card!  I love it!

The stamped images are from Sizziz.  I used my
Copic pens for coloring the images.
There are a set of dies that come with the
images but I wanted to put them on an entire white
card.  I love how the stitched die cut
frames my art!

Now that I have tried this shape - I can see
many more cards in my future!

Thanks for stopping by!

Mother's Day Cards!

Happy Day everyone!

Yesterday I made 11 Mother's Day cards!
Yes, you read that correct.  Even though my own mother
has been gone for years, I try and make cards for the other
"moms" in my life.  Some are granddaughters in love, some are
daughters in love, others are friends.  I just love making
cards!  I cannot take credit for this design!
It was inspired by Mary Grubbs the founder of
Cardztv.  I have watched and loved Mary's blog for years.
She has taught me so much about card crafting and I
was honored to serve on her Design Team for years.

This design is PERFECT for using up scraps of paper
and these papers come from a favorite Paper Studio paper pad
called Lola and Luca.

I even used a strip from my scraps to finish off
the inside of my card.  My sentiment comes from
two different My Creative Time Mother's day
sets.

The flowers come from Create a Critter cut with my
Cricut and also used Elegant Edges for make the
mat that the flower sits on.  I use the Elegant Edges set so
often, I created a file and saved it.  Love my Cricut!

Happy Spring!

It's time to get crafty!

Hello all!
I'm excited to be back in my craft room
after having some health issues since June 2017.
I had major surgery in February and am now on
the mend - PRAISE THE LORD!

I retired in early December and I always
wanted to share crafting with my friends - now
finally I will have the time.  I've been preparing for
a card class that I am holding this Saturday.
Here are a couple of the cards we will
create and a sneak peak at future classes.

I'm teaching a class on card making
from a 6x6 paper pad using Kristie Marcotte's ideas
Love making 30 cards at once!

This card will also teach participants how to use
water color brushes to color an image.

Using card sketches allows me to focus on the paper
choices and coordinating everything and not worry
about the design.

This card is from a future class I where I will
be teaching watercoloring images.

This card was one I just had to make!  This is
Gina K Designs Wreath Builder
stamp set and template!  Oh my - what fun!

Well that is all for now!  Thank you for stopping by
to see what I've been up to.  I'm waiting on
spring here in northern Indiana - how about you?
