Peachy Keen Circle Sketch Challenge

Happy Sunday!  I've been resting today after
a very busy  weekend at work.  I relax by spending
time in my craft loft. My first
order of buisness was to clean up my space.
I had many scraps to file.
I know that may sounds strange, but most of us
crafters save our scraps as we never want to waste paper.
I have a plastic tower of 12x12 drawers
that I file all of my scraps by color.
I use mostly Stampin Up paper, so my scraps
always match when I'm making cards.  I do use
other patterned paper but most of my solids are SU.
I also love SU  paper as it is colored
all the way through.  The more inexpensive
paper needs to have the edges inked as the center of the
paper is usually white.  SU is solid clear through
and cuts beautifully in my Cricut Imagine and Expression.
I've never participated in a Peachy Keen Challenge,
but I was intrigued when I saw the sketch.  I had picked
up a packet of black doiles. I love doiles but I had no idea if
I was going to craft with them or use them in my kitchen.
Well you can see, I decided to add them on my card.
The base of the card is a deep plum.  Then a layer of white and the dot
pattern is mounted on top of that layer.  My
pumpkin is actually "egg" dies and i put
three of them together to make the pumpkin.  I used a
Peachy Keen stamp to make the face on my Jack-O-Lantern.
I just ordered the actual set of faces for the
pumpkins, but this came from Monster
Mash (I think).  I added a piece of ribbon under the
pumpkin and then to add some
more circles I used a smaller set of stamps from
Jaded Blossom.  These are such CUTE little stamps
made for the bottoms of Hershey kisses!  I can't wait to
use for some treat bags, but they
were a cute addition to this card as well.  I added a mesh bat,
and some purple rhinestones
but I'm not sure you can see them.
For my first time at a PK challenge, I'm pleased!
Hope you are too!

Halloween Goody/Treat Bags

I love to make goody bags!  I don't
know why it's so much fun, but it is!  My grandson Drew helped me
mix up the candy and peanuts
and he tasted the batch..............thoroughly, so I know it's good!
I need about 35 bags to distribute at my job, but the rest I will
use at home for those special Trick or Treaters.
When I need a lot of one thing, I use my Imagine
and print out the image instead of layering.
I used a 3x5 inch cello bag that I purchased from Clear
The topper is a 3x6 inch piece of cardstock.
The image was cut at 2.5 from the Imagine Seasons cartridge.
The sentiment is from Cardztv Stamps.

Lunch notes!

My daughter-in-law packs my grandson's lunches every day.
I saw this cute stamp set from My
Pink Stamper and I just had to get it before it's gone!
Robyn (My Pink Stamper) has decided to close her business and
go back to being a full time mom.  Robyn has given much of her talent
in countless videos teaching stamping and Cricut
techniques.  I have several stamp sets from Robyn, but when
I heard she was retiring, I knew I needed one more set.
This is a GREAT way to  use up your scraps!

I put each saying in it's own little envelop.

I then put the envelopes in this little tin and covered it
with some school themed paper.

I store my clear stamps in CD cases.  Check out
to see the entire set!

Sometimes it's the little things that our
children will remember the most.  My DIL is a
wonderful Mom.  I am blessed!
Happy Sunday!

A gift for my BFF!

My hubby had a birthday party over Labor Day.
We had over 40 relatives/friends over to help us
celebrate.  Of course, my BFF was on hand to help me.
My BFF is a school psychologist and has been a
devoted teacher for well over 30 years.  I made this card
set for her as a thank you gift.

I made four shaped cards.  You can find
this shape on various cartridges.  I welded two 3 inch squares
together.  The layered apple comes from The Recess Cartridge.
The front layer was cut at 2.5 and cut and filled in using the Imagine.
I think the "fill" is from the Imagine More cartridge.  The
box was made using the CTMH Artiste cartridge.
I flood filled the image using a patter on the Imagine More
Cards cartridge.  I added some prima flowers.
The sentiment on both the card and box come
from Teeny Tiny Tag and Die set from
My Creative Time.
My mind is whirling with ideas to more of these!
What a great gift idea for the upcoming holidays!
Thanks for stopping by for a visit.

Here is what I created for this challenge:
Making winter/holiday cards will be so easy now
that you have Mary's new stamp set SNOW DAY!
I was so excited to recieve this set, I had to make
a card immediately.  I used 3 Birds on Parade to cut out this
little cute bird with her hat, scarf and boots.   Isn't she adorbs?
I placed some Stampin Up Dazzling Diamonds glitter on her hat
and boots and scarf.  I love glitter!
I tore two layers of white cardstock and lightly inked
with a light blue pad to make it look like snow.
Then I used a Zig two way glue
pen and lightly touch the "snow" and added more glitter.
The top of the scene is a die cut and the finished
product is very delicate but gorgeous!  I again
used my Zig Glue pen and dusted it with Dazzling Diamond
glitter.  I'm not sure if you can see, but I used two layers of white
paper cut just a bit smaller to give it more
dimension.  The bird is popped up on a double thickness
of foam tape.
For the inside of the card, I again cut a white layer and used
a border punch on the bottom.  I used a blue/white dot ribbon
at the bottom of the white layer.  I used my Martha Stewart
snowflake punch and a Stampin Up snowflake punch to add some
dimension and interest on the inside.  I ran all three "flakes"
through my Zyron upside down so they would really
be sticky and then added the glitter.
I used two sentiments from the Snow Day stamp
set for the outside and inside of the
card.  I'm thrilled with how this turned out!
