Cardztv Christmas in July Challenge!

It's another Christmas in July challenge at Cardstv!
What a great fun card to create in 90 degree weather - ha ha.
As you can see this little snowman is melting and the perfect sentiment
is on a Cardztv stamp that you can now preorder at

It says "snowman can melt your heart".  Isn't that
the most perfect sentiment?  I have two more
snowman ready to go when I get that set.

Mary's challenge is for you to use a snowman or snowflake on your
card.  Fun, Fun, Fun!

Have a great Sunday.

This Mimi is PROUD!

I love summer for many reasons, but one reason is that
summer in Indiana is
Fair time!  I grew up on a farm and loved the
atmosphere of the county fair.
I had numerous 4-H projects and believe in the theory of 4-H
and how it develops young
individuals.  My oldest son was a 10 year 4-H member
as was my daughter-in-law Carrie.
Today they are raising two young men and teaching them the
same values and work ethics
as they show their lambs, pigs and cattle.  Yesterday was
a great day at our local
Elkhart County 4-H Fair.  My son and family showed in the
Open Class and you can see the
results were impressive.

Here the whole family poses for a photo after winning both
Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Market Lamb.
They also won Champion Hereford Heifer.
Isn't this an awesome photo?  I love it!  Drew the youngest showed his
lamb (he's 6)without anyone else in the ring helping him, it was
just him and his lamb.  He placed first in his class
and had a smile that stretched from ear to ear.

Here's the cards I had made last week to send to them after the show.

Both images are mounted with an Action Wobble as my boys LOVE them!
The sentiments come from Cardztv stamps and they capture my thoughts exactly!
Go to to get your own!

Hope you like my cards (and tolerate my boasting about my kids!).

Thanks for stopping by today!

First attempt at using a Digi Stamp!

I went in search of a "special fold card" on You Tube this morning and found this
one called a Joy Card fold.  I used a digital stamp which is a first for me.  This is from
Wee Stamps and they have adorable images.  The sentiment is from Cardztv stamps called
Happy Days.  It's the perfect  set for all your card creations!  I also
used Creative Time for Me stitched circle and scallop die set on the front
of the card.

I haven't colored in a long time and usually when I do
it's on a stamped image.  If you look closely you will see a bit of
smearing from the ink jet.  Since I don't have a lazer printer, this
may be the reason I won't use digital images much.

I do think the card turned out cute.
The second picture shows the card opened.  If you are interested, do a search
on You Tube and you will find many videos on how to create this card.

Thanks for taking time to check out my blog.
I'm entering this card in the Scrapbooking Queen - Royal Challenge

More than one way to skin a cat!

Ha ha! Boy that saying dates me, right?

I had seen this idea a while ago on a You Tube video and always wanted to try.  The video talked about using SU punches to make the hearts.  I don't have that punch, so I used Close To My Heart's Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut the heart at 1.5.

I think this turned out pretty cute!  The ribbon with cherish, love & joy was some I found in the dollar bin at Michaels one day.  The Mr. & Mrs. is a Creative Time for Me set called Tiny Tags.

I love how this turned out!

Humm, is it time for you to craft?  Nothing relaxes me more!

Have a great weekend!

It's a very exciting day for me!

I feel so blessed!  I've been chosen to be on the Cardztv Design Team!  I'm truly over the moon.  I've been watching Mary's videos from her blog for a long time.  She has provided inspiration as well as taught me how to use my Cricut and how to really use the cartridges.  Mary has a unique talent of finding every little cut on those cartridges and when she puts a card or project together, it just works.

I have always said that each person has their own "style" of creating and Mary's style is very unique.  Check out her blog at and then go to her page for Cardztv stamps, to see the wonder clear stamps she designs.  Her sentiments are great and I'm never at a loss for what to use.

Now, I'd like to introduce you to the rest of the Design Team!  Whoa!  This is going to be fun.  Click on their button to go to there blog and begin to follow them.  They have awesome projects for you to see.

Get ready for some real fun coming your way with Cardztv Stamps!

Christmas in July???

It is over at Cardztv!  Mary has a challenge on her blog, so get out the
Christmas paper and create!  Join in the fun!

Here is my entry.  The challenge was to use any colors, an animal, and make a Christmas card.

I used Create a Critter and cut this little reindeer out at 3.25 inches.  Since I used my Gypsy, I chose not to cut out the face but used a face stamp instead.  I added some red stickles to the scarf.  I also used Elegant Edges for the mat under the reindeer and added some tiny buttons from Favorite Findings.  I get them at Joann's online.  I love these tiny buttons.  I used a Christmas stamp set that said "tis the season".  I have several layers, but what I really loved is the action wobble I
put ont he back of the reindeer.  I love those things!

Okay, now it's your turn.  Go to and join in the fun!

Inspired by Pinterest!

I'm sure you have all heard about Pinterest.  It's a great site to get inspired and I was lurking yesterday and saw a card I wanted to create.  The designer said that she had created with a different cutting machine than the Cricut and actually found the pattern on their online forum, but I decided to try my hand at creating this on my Gypsy.  I started out with circles and starting welding them together and then I had to add a circle in the middle of all the little circles and weld that too so it would cut out the way I wanted.  One of the best things about the Gypsy is that you can see exactly what you want to cut and how it's going to look.  I actually layered all of the layers on my Gypsy so I could size it right.  The smaller scallop and circle was cut using a die from My Creative Time.  The sentiment is also from Emma's stamp sets.  I am in love with my black and white checked ribbon and it was the perfect touch to accent this card.  I topped it off with a button and a little piece of twine.  I did the stitching with a white get pen and a black fine tip Sharpie.  I truly love this card!  I was so impressed with myself that I know enough about my Gypsy to get this done.  Best thing is that now I've created this, it's a file I can keep on my Gypsy and cut whenever I want.

Thanks for stopping by!  I pray you are all keeping cool!  It was 104 degrees today here in Indiana.
We need rain badly as the crops are really looking bad and I hurt for the farmers in our area.

God bless!

Another little photo book, this time for a new BABY!

These little albums are so fun and they could easily become addictive!
This one was made just like the one from yesterday except I did a
BABY theme!  This is the perfect gift for a new mom.

I used My Pink Stamper's Sweet Baby stamp set.  I have used this set on many occasions
when I needed to make a card or did a photo album.  It has the perfect sentiments and
stamps crystal clear!

These two pictures show a sampling of what the inside of the album looks like.
Photos can be trimmed and mounted on top of the card stock and also leaves a spot for journaling
if you desire.

Here is the picture of two of them together.  Fun, Fun, Fun!
