Good morning! Today's project is a Made in Minutes!
I am excited to be sharing for My Creative Time as her Guest Designer.
With Easter right around the corner, I am hopeful that some of you (depending on where
you live) will be able to have some family at your
dinner table to celebrate. For most of us, it's been well
over a year since we have had the opportunity to get together with
anyone. When entertaining, I love to place a cute favor
by everyone's plate. The Short Milk Treat Box die is perfect for this
project especially when you want to give more treats.
I have paired this with the Peeking Bunny Die and Little Gift Tag Die. I added
a sentiment from the Somebunny Special Stamp Set and a clip from my stash.
I will also be sending two of these to my grandchildren in
California who I have not seen in almost a year and a half!
I miss them so much and they are the little ones. They are growing up
without me so I have to send something special!
When I say Made in Minutes, I mean it. Emma's dies and stamps
make it so easy to create something adorable that looks like
you spent hours. I used a panel of 6x12 paper and cut out this die twice.
Now let me share, I am a card maker by choice and I don't use a lot
of 12x12 paper BUT when you need to create a 3D project, it is perfect.
Many times the larger pattern of a 12x12 paper is just not suitable for my card
making, so I was thrilled to use up some of my favorite
spring colors and create these cute treats. I was able to use scraps for the sentiment
tag and the bunny. SO EASY!
Today is my last guest post, but I wanted to share with you
a couple of items that I couldn't work without in my craft room.
First off is my Bearly Art Glue. I have fallen in love with this
glue and use it anytime my project calls for a liquid adhesive.
Then the Make Art Stay-tion in the smaller size. I have seen
Emma's videos and she uses the larger one (I have that one too) but
when I'm sitting and making cards & boxes, this is a life saver.
And lastly when you want a distressed background, I have found
it so easy to create. my own by using a small Distress Ink pan,
my rectangle or whatever shape you need and I just
start at the top and run down the entire length with my mini
pad flush against the paper. Pick up and return to the top and make
another stripe down. Do this until your entire panel is covered and
it looks just like a distressed wood grain piece of paper perfect
for a background on your card.
Thank you Emma for allowing me to share with you
these past couple of days.
I have been an avid MCT fan from the beginning. You
make crafting fun and EASY!
Happy creating!
Mimi!
