My Creative Time - Made in Minutes!

Good morning!  Today's project is a Made in Minutes!

I am excited to be sharing for My Creative Time as her Guest Designer.

With Easter right around the corner, I am hopeful that some of you (depending on where

you live) will be able to have some family at your

dinner table to celebrate.  For most of us, it's been well

over a year since we have had the opportunity to get together with

anyone.  When entertaining, I love to place a cute favor

by everyone's plate.   The Short Milk Treat Box die is perfect for this

project especially when you want to give more treats.

I have paired this with the Peeking Bunny Die and Little Gift Tag Die.  I added

a sentiment from the Somebunny Special Stamp Set and a clip from my stash.

I will also be sending two of these to my grandchildren in

California who I have not seen in almost a year and a half!

I miss them so much and they are the little ones.  They are growing up

without me so I have to send something special!

When I say Made in Minutes, I mean it. Emma's dies and stamps

make it so easy to create something adorable that looks like

you spent hours.  I used a panel of 6x12 paper and cut out this die twice.

Now let me share, I am a card maker by choice and I don't use a lot

of 12x12 paper BUT when you need to create a 3D project, it is perfect.

Many times the larger pattern of a 12x12 paper is just not suitable for my card

making, so I was thrilled to use up some of my favorite

spring colors and create these cute treats.  I was able to use scraps for the sentiment

tag and the bunny.  SO EASY!

Look how cute!  So easy and quick too!

The finishing touch is that TINY bow on top
of the bunny.  This is just one of the cute little
pieces from the Mini Bow Die set.  This is from Emma's
latest release and her site does say it's backordered,
but keep this on your list as a MUST HAVE!

Today is my last guest post, but I wanted to share with you

a couple of items that I couldn't work without in my craft room.

First off is my Bearly Art Glue.  I have fallen in love with this

glue and use it anytime my project calls for a liquid adhesive.

Then the Make Art Stay-tion in the smaller size.  I have seen

Emma's videos and she uses the larger one (I have that one too) but

when I'm sitting and making cards & boxes, this is a life saver.

And lastly when you want a distressed background, I have found

it so easy to create. my own by using a small Distress Ink pan,

my rectangle or whatever shape you need and I just

start at the top and run down the entire length with my mini

pad flush against the paper.  Pick up and return to the top and make

another stripe down.  Do this until your entire panel is covered and

it looks just like a distressed wood grain piece of paper perfect

for a background on your card.

Thank you Emma for allowing me to share with you

these past couple of days.

I have been an avid MCT fan from the beginning.  You

make crafting fun and EASY!

Happy creating!

My Creative Time - Just Cards!

I think as crafters we all have a

home base and mine is card making.  This year being

stuck at home while we battle Covid, card making has kept me sane.

I do sell my cards, but this year I really began sending up to 10 cards

a week.  I started with my church family as many are elderly

and I felt could use the pick me up of someone thinking about them

even though we couldn't see them.  Then I branched out to my circle of friends.

I took the time to write something meaningful in the cards as I

wanted to give them hope.  As a nurse, I knew the danger when the pandemic

first began.  But as the shutdowns continued, I felt I had a calling to make

and send cards as much as I could.  It was this year that I was

grateful that I had a good supply of stamps, ink, dies and paper to carry

on my mission.  Oh and let's not forget Amazon deliveries!!!

I finished my handmade Christmas cards in March of 2020

so when it came time to send and address, I had plenty of time to actually

write notes in almost all of my cards.  And not to brag, but I already

have my 2021 Christmas cards made and will enjoy writing in them

come this November.

When Emma asked me to Guest Design, I was thrilled

when she asked for a card.  Cards don't have to be hard or

challenging.  I know there are many intricate card designs out there

and they are beautiful, but that's not my style.  I'm a simple country girl and

I like things that are easy.  So here is my card that I created

for My Creative Time.

I created the front of my card using the

Gift Card Tag Dies.  This is such a versatile set.

After gluing the pocket together, I actually trimmed

off the top so I could still stamp a sentiment at the top of my card.

I wanted the entire inside available for me to write

something instead of putting the gift card inside.

Think outside the box!  You might think this tag set is just for

Christmas, but as you can see, it can be used year round!

Adding on the Peeking Bunny Die is the perfect

addition to make this look springy!

Well, that's it for me today!  Thank you for stopping by my blog.

Make sure and head over to My Creative Time and check out

everything she has to offer!

Happy Crafting!  Mimi

My Creative Time - Birthday Palooza!

Hello!  I'm Guest Designing today for

My Creative Time for her blog for her Birthday Palooza!  It's always an exciting time to share

products with you that I use ALL THE TIME!

Emma's products make creating something special so easy.

I'm not sure about you, but it seems that I am

giving away more and more gift cards instead of a gift

that I've shopped for in the stores.  Let's face it, with the Pandemic

no one was really out shopping, so gift cards were an awesome option.

That being said, two of my grandchildren are getting to the age

where they want to pick out their own gifts.  Giving them a gift card makes it

easy, however sending a gift card to someone in the mail, doesn't have

to just be blah!  Today I will be sending out a gift card all

wrapped up in cuteness using the Love Letter Die.  The insert included with

this die is the perfect holder for your stamped sentiment and you can slide the

gift card behind.  I used the Somebunny Special stamp set for my

Happy Birthday.  Look how many

sentiments you get with this set!

How special does this look?

I used an older 6x6 paper pad from Anna Griffin - isn't it lovely?

So just because you are giving gift cards, no

need to get lazy!!!  Ha ha!  Make it special! Make it fun!

Happy Crafting - Mimi!
