Getting ready for a craft show!

No, I have not been twiddling my thumbs, I've
been busy, busy!  I have two craft shows coming
up in a couple of weeks and I'm trying to get some items
ready for sale.  My company is called ADDICTED TO PAPER,  since
I totally have a paper addiction, but truth be known I
also LOVE jewelry,  I'm going to show you a picture a few things
I've got coming.  Please let me know what you think!

Tell me what your favorite item is so far!

It's time for a little fall decor!

My father has been gone well over 20 years now,
but even after my mother passed you could find
him and I every August sitting at his home
peeling peaches in preparation for canning.

At last count, we canned 4 bushels his final year on earth.
He loved peaches and this chair was the OFFICIAL peach
peeling chair. He and I would sit on either side of this
chair that held a big tub of peaches he and I were preparing.
When he passed, I asked for three items: two antique rockers and this chair.

For my last birthday, my husband had my grandson
Ben paint it for me so I could use it on our tiny front porch.
Today I decided to dress it up a bit with a fall decor
piece I made. I love how it turned out.

Now to get some mums!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Fall Y'all!

Aromatherapy bracelets????? What?????

I have a couple of confessions.
I like jewelry.  I like my essential oils.  I normally
diffuse my oils in my home, but
since getting a new puppy, I have
to be careful.  Meet Joseph!

I realized after getting Joseph
that I needed to be careful with my
oils as some are toxic to pets.  That
led me purchasing a couple of beautiful
aromatherapy bracelets.
Being the "crafty" person I am, I
decided to make some of my own.
That's where my love of making
 bracelets began.

While I used to wear a necklace with my
favorite oils in them, I like the fashion of
the bracelet.  Most bracelets I've found in the
market place are heavy on the lava
stones.  I use only 1-5 normally
and fill the remainder of the bracelet with
a mixture of semi-precious beads and metal accents.
I love the look so much I sometimes
stack them!

I've started an Etsy shop called
addictedtopapershop
and I'd love it if you could drop in and check
out my bracelets and a few paper crafts
that I have added recently.

Here are a few of my favorite bracelets I made
yesterday in my studio.  I hope you love
them as much as I do!

It’s Fair time!

Hi all. Thanks for stopping on my blog today.
I just wanted to share the 20 cards that I made yesterday from
my grandsons to send to the buyers of their animal projects last year.
Buyers are the reason kids get to keep showing animals at the fair.
Buyers are amazing.

I started years ago making little cards for my grands to
use to thank their buyers in a special way.
Each year I try and come up with a different idea.
Here’s the design that I came up with this year and they just got picked
up so hopefully they will be in the buyers hands soon.

I used my Cricut Air2 to cut out the award banner.
I still like to use My Cut Search to find an image
that I know is in my collection.

I located three ribbon images, downloaded them all
and cut them out, then I began to assemble my card.

I printed the sentiment out on my computer
printing it on Georgia Pacific white cardstock from
Walmart and then used a die to make an
interesting cut.

I have a Cannon Selphie that I used to print
out the photos of my grandsons with their
prize winning animals at last years fair
and attached to the front.

For whatever reason I just can't help
myself and need to attach some sequins
for sparkle.  These are my favorite as they pick
up the paper color of whatever I use.
They came from Joann Fabric and were just plain
old sequins!

Well I best get back to laundry!

Hope you enjoyed my quick post!

OMG! Where have I been?????

I always thought being retired meant I would have time for everything!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Where I used to have a day with several meetings and driving to 2-3 locations,
I now feel like I have a FULL week if I have something on
each day.  And SOMETHING could be going to the
grocery store.  My perspective has changed.  A LOT!

I can honestly say I've been busy in my studio creating
all kinds of fun.  I still make cards!  Look at these
adorable baby cards I made yesterday.

The elephants were cut and sized with my Cricut on Design Space.
Love these little cards.

Then I decided to make some Aromatherapy bracelets for myself
and I couldn't help myself I made more!  I love jewelry so I didn't
much care for the aromatherapy bracelets with all lava beads, so
mine have anywhere from 1-5 lava beads and still look pretty!

I can wear my oils without spritzing or diffusing so as not
to bother anyone else.  Love my bracelets!

Of course I had to jump on the band wagon and make some
earrings with my Cricut.  I love that it feels like I'm not
wearing any earrings at all!

Now that summer is in full swing, I am setting up an
Etsy shop (addictedtopapershop) so I can sell
my bracelets, cards and eventually earrings.  Please
check it out and show me some love.

Well I'd best get to creating!  I need to finish up a mini album
for a graduating senior as my gift to her.  I will post some pics when I'm done!

Thank you for stopping by!

My Minds Eye paper collection!

Hi all! I’m very excited to share with you a new set of cards that I’ve completed today. These are created from a 6 x 6 paper pad from My Minds Eye. The touch of gold adds an elegance to these cards. I was able to get 32 cards out of this paper pad which I am thrilled with that number. It was well worth my time to get that many top quality all occasion cards. I did a quick video so that you can see each card up close. Stay tuned for video #2 where I explain the process I go through when I’m making this set of cards.

Here are two of the cards from this set!
Both using Cardztv stamps!

Here is the prep video showing you how I prepared for making
these 32 cards!

Thank you for stopping by.

If you are enjoying my posts, please leave a quick message.  I'd love to hear from you.

Happy New Year!

I hope 2019 started out with a bang for you
and your family!  I have all of my Christmas events behind me
so this week I will devote to putting away the decorations and
getting ready for spring!  It's been a very mild winter here
in northern Indiana so far.  We have had very little snow
and the last two days we had sun and 50 some degrees!
Unheard of for us this close to Lake Michigan, but
we have plenty of time for snow before our winter
is over.

I filmed a quick video showing you what I've been doing
in my craft room tonight.  I made a promise to myself
that starting this month, I would make 6 Christmas cards a month
in preparation for 2019.  I like to send out my cards at the beginning
of December, but the last few years I've been so far behind.  Tonight
I made 8 cards and really - it's not that hard.  I plan to store my
Christmas paper I will be using along with my stamp sets in
a 12x12 Iris container that you can purchase at Michaels (and they
are on sale this week for $5 each!) and each month I will
pull out that container and make my 6 cards.  I already
have my papers planned as I'm using some Design Paper
from Stampin Up.  I will add the solid color yardstick and the matching
washi tape into the container.  That way making  my monthly cards
will be easy peasy without searching through everything!

Hope this video link works!

Anyone else want to join me?

Let me know!
