Happy Anniversary to my better half!

Tomorrow I celebrate 23 years of marriage with my best friend.  Sometimes making cards for my husband are the hardest, but this one came into my mind early this morning and I couldn't wait to craft!  The heart is cut from Doodlecharms.  I'm loving the checked ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  My little buttons came from my stash as did the papers.  I use a lot of Stampin Up paper for the solids, but the rest are scraps from my stash.  The face on the heart comes from Peachy Keen.  Don't you just love how the face changes the look?

I'm linking this to My Creative Time's website.  She asked for cards/layouts using her first sets of stamps.  This set is called You Had at Chocolate.  Who wouldn't love it with a name like that.  Go to her website to see 3 of her favorite sets on SALE now.  www.creativetimeforme.com and tell her I sent you!

Time for sweet treats!

I like to say "thank you" to my staff with little crafty things.  I currently am managing two offices so treating is a little more challenging than normal, but I've been working on something for both offices and I wanted to share.  I mean you can't let Valentine's Day pass without a sweet treat, right?

The top picture shows the Tootsie Pop all wrapped up in Stitched Lollypop Dye from My Creative Time.  I had almost 40 of these so I needed something quick and easy.  Papercrafting is very easy when you have the right tools!  I love Emma's dyes and I know you will too.  I made these for my new staff.

The second picture was made (and this is a total scraplift) from an idea I saw on Pinterest and from one of Emma's DT members in a recent stamp release.  I love using Hershey hugs and here is just another cute way to stack them and make a mailbox.  Isn't this adoreable?  This is probably my last little gift to my current staff and I wanted to make something special.  One thing I loved about this project is that I used up so many scraps to make these.  Sometimes it's easier to just get a new piece of paper, but for these I MADE myself go to my scrap drawers and they turned out perfect!

Thanks for looking!  Happy Valentine's day from Mimi!

Change can be tough!

But I'm hoping chocolate will make it better!

Last week Martha Stewart had a great idea to wrap candy and hand write the thank you note on the inside of the wrapper that you place around the candy.  I thought that was a cute idea so here is my version.

I am in the midst of a job location change and leaving my current staff is going to be tough.  We have grown and prospered together for over a year and a half, but it's now time for me to move to my new location.  I will have double the doctors, double the employees and a larger building.  I am excited, but a piece of my heart will stay with the group I've called home for many months.  A few staff members went together and purchased a hour long facial for me as a parting gift.  I've never had a facial so I can't wait.  I made these little dark chocolates to give them as their thank you.

I taped two bars together and then placed a wrapper around them with score tape.  The little tag is from My Creative Time's dye set that is sold with her Tiny Tag sentiments.  This is a perfect label to use on something like this!  Check out www.creativetimeforme.com to see Emma's complete line of products.

I love your comments and it would be great fun if you invite me to your blog!

Thanks for taking time to look!

Thank you from Abigail!

First of all, I would like to introduce my sweet Abigail.  She is 13 pounds of "busyness".  Whenever hubby and I are gone for a LONG day and sometimes for a trip, we have a great neighbor who watches Abigail so we don't have to board her.  I've been wanting to thank her so I finally picked up an Applebee's gift card and made this cute little folder with My Creative Time's Gift Card dye.  I cut the dog from the Create a Critter cartridge and I think she was cut at 2.5.  I inked all the edges in black to make it look like Abigail.  I popped her up and put some rhinestones on her collar.  The bones are button that I cut off the loop on the back.  You can't see it well but I added stickles on the ears and nose to make it sparkle.  On the inside I stamped two and from and used a Paw print to show it's from Abigail!  Isn't that cute?  The Gift Card sentiments are the perfect companion to this dye.  Mary from Cardztv has turned me on to black and white checked ribbon and I love the special touch it gives this card.

I hope you enjoy this card!  I love it and I so appreciate my neighbor Judy for taking such great care of my little girl.

Have a great weekend!
