If you came through yesterday there were two links that did not work.  I have since removed them from the list below.  Everyone listed below has posted a card/project and they are WONDERFUL!  Good luck and don't forget to link your own project for a chance to win some really wonderful prizes!  Thanks!  Mimi
Well, my big day is finally here and I'm thrilled you have chosen to have some fun with us!  First of all, let me begin by saying Happy Thanksgiving to you all!  I pray you will have time to spend with your family in some way.  My family is all out of town this year, so I plan to "hook up" with them by phone or email.  Today is my 60th birthday and I am having a hard time believing I can be that old - LOL!  I have asked eleven crafty peeps to get things started, so let's get on with the fun.

For my card, I chose to use my new Close to My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge.  This was my first attempt at making flowers and I think they turned out okay.  I love my Martha Stewart punches so I had to try out a new one that I purchased recently.  I used a dark brown cardstock for the base of my card and I also used the brown with punch.  I pulled out my Cuttlebug to add some interest on the cream layer.  I used the CTMH cartridge to cut the oval, and scalloped oval, the flourish and the flowers.  After assembling the flowers, I "lightly" touched my 2 way glue pen on some of the petals and used Stampin Up Dazzling Diamond Glitter to add a little sparkle.  Then I added some brown pearls and white pearls to add a little dimension.  The sentiment is a SU set that I had in my stash.  It turned out great and made me "smile" so that was a good sign.

Are you ready to see more awesome creations?  I feel so honored to have these talented ladies helping me celebrate my birthday.  We have blog candy to give along the way.  Some of the participants are giving away their own prizes but I have several things I will be sending out to winners.  Here are the rules:
  1. Visit each of the blogs listed and leave a comment.  You do not have to JOIN their blog as a follower, but I'm sure they'd love it if you do!
  2. Return to my site: and tell me you made it through the hop
  3. Use the Linky tool and link up your own BIRTHDAY CARD or Project!
I will use to select the winners of our blog candy.  I have stamp sets that have been donated by My Pink Stamper and My Creative Time along with other goodies I've been collecting.  You have until Sunday November 27th, midnight EST to enter your project.

Here is the hop line-up: (returning back here)

Have a great time!

PS - I have just finished hoping through the line-up.  I have deleted one link that are not working.  That just means your chances of winning are even better :).  Thank you again for sharing your Thanksgiving weekend with me!  I can't believe the talent shared in this line-up.  The cards, videos and tips are AWESOME!  Have a blessed day!

My Creative Time Throwback Thursday Challenge

I've been a kick lately using My Creative Time's ( gift card die.  I love it!  My grandsons are going to Disney this year for Christmas and I wanted to give them some money so they can spend a little of their own dollars, lol.  Anyway, Emma's challenge was to make something that was "kid friendly", so with the boys in mind I decided to finish these up.  Now I just need to add money!!  They turned out real cute.  I used the Gift Card Die and the stiched circle and scalloped die as well!  I added some stickles to give a little glimmer and I think they are to DIE for!  LOL!  I borrowed the Cricut cartridge from a friend since I didn't have anything  Disney.  I may have to search this one out though becasue they will need to scrap all those photos!  I used a Disney font on my computer to type out the Disney Dollars and Mouse Money sentiment.  I then lined up the circle die and cut it out on my cuttlebug!  This worked great!

Join in on the fun!  Check out and see the challenge.  The more the merrier!

I hope to make it back in the loft tomorrow to make some birthday cards!

Another gift card holder!

Who doesn't love a gift card?  I needed a gift card holder for a gift card from McDonalds that I'm giving to an employee tomorrow.  My employee really love McDonalds coffee drinks and their Fruit Parfait and I had so much fun making this holder using a die from My Creative Time.  The coffee cup was cut from Love You Latte Cricut Lite.  I also used another die from My Creative Time from the Build a Banner set and the Just for You sentiment also is from  If you haven't tried Emma's products, you need to go take a peak!  They are awesome.

Hopefully I'll be back this weekend as my birthday stash is depleted - ca put - zip!  I need some major crafting time!  Wanna join me in on the fun?

Gift Card Holders

Who doesn't love gift cards?  I love to get them and I love to give them.  I purchased a die from My Creative Time to cut the most perfect gift card holder.  It works best with two sided printed paper, but on the two with baby cards, I didn't have any so I simply cut it twice and cut off the top so I had a contrast.  On the snowman card, I ran the paper through my Imagine once, then flipped it over and printed the second side too!  It worked perfectly!  Some sunday afternoon I plan to make up a stash of these cards.  I totally believe presentation is everything, so a simple $5.00 Starbucks card would be a total hit in one of these holders!  Head over to to see these great dies.

Just as a tip - I almost always cut out "extra" images when I'm card making.  I store the images in little plastic photo boxes and seem to always be able to reach for something when I want to make one of these holders or a quick card.  The auto fill on the Cricut is a huge timesaver and can easily be used for extra images you might not need today, but several months from now when you need to create something quick - you can make something that looks like it took hours!  :)
